At the end of November 2021 USA Mitsubishi , the company introduced its first electric crossover Airtrek. The car is a joint product of Mitsubishi and the Chinese company. GAC Mitsubishi Airtrek sales will start in 2022.
At the front of the electric car is a closed grille surrounded on each side by powerful chrome bars. The headlamp Block separates the elegant daytime running lights from the main headlamps, which are in the form of a digit seven, and below the radar sensor is visible. The black roof contrasts with the body. Along the sides there is a rising belt line and door handles located flush. The rear is not as attractive as the front, but in general it is a modern and attractive SUV.
Inside, Mitsubishi Airtrek has a horizontally located dashboard, which, according to the company, improves visibility. The two-color upholstery design gives the cabin a market atmosphere. In the interior of the car, a virtual instrument panel and a large touch display, and the front seats share high central panels.
Mitsubishi Airtrek is equipped with a 70 kVt⋅ch battery, which can help the electric crossover reach a range of 514 km without recharging. The battery is located in the center of the floor, which helps to lower the center of gravity. According to local reports of Chinese technical publications, the power of the electric motor is 181 horsepower.
The newcomer is comparable in size to the Mitsubishi Outlander: length - 4630 mm (minus 65 mm), width - 1920 mm (plus 110 mm), height - 1728 mm (plus 18 mm). Wheelbase - 2830 mm versus 2670 mm for Outlander.
The car is equipped with a single electric motor with a capacity of 184 hp. The production of the car will be established at the joint venture GAC Mitsubishi in China, and its sales will begin in mid-2022. The cost of an electric crossover by November 22, 2021 is not called.[1]
