2020: Release of a set

At the end of May, 2020 MTS released as the company approves, the Russia's first set of the equipment for development of devices of Internet of Things. Innovation simplifies creation of prototypes of the IoT-equipment and accelerates an output of such products to the market.

The solution under NB-IoT the name Development Kit  includes the host board with the STM32L152RE microcontroller, the radio module, a set of sensors and SIM- the chip, the expansion card with the module GNSS GPSGLONASS (/), ST-Link programmator, a set of antennas and the interface cables. Plus to it the offer includes unlimited traffic for year and a ready account in the cloud IoT-platform of MTS — the client does not need to pay for communication or the account separately.

It is noted that the Arduino-compatibility of set gives the chance without delays to get to work to beginners and professional developers. The set is delivered with the demonstration firmware implementing the service menu. 

According to MTS, NB-IoT Development Kit allows to develop sensors which transfer small amounts of data and require high energy efficiency. It is supposed that the product will be demanded among the companies developing devices for segments of the real estate, housing and public utilities, security, the smart city and agriculture. It will also be interesting to higher education institutions, startups and fans of electronics.

The NB-IoT network is the most perspective technology for the most fast-growing segments of Internet of Things. Producers which will be able to be built in this trend will have powerful competitive advantage, an opportunity to enter the new markets and to create essentially new products and services — the vice president of MTS for cloud and digital solutions Dmitry Halin says. – A complex of tools which MTS provides to developers of devices: the federal network, the IoT platform, special rates, and now and NB-IoT Development Kit – will allow to simplify this process and to avoid serious investments into the equipment at a development stage.[1]
