2024: Presentation of PAC "Case"

The National Computer Corporation (NCC) ─ a multidisciplinary IT holding has developed and presented to companies with a continuous production cycle an integrated approach to reengineering process control systems (APCS). The approach is implemented on the basis of the universal software and hardware complex (PAC) Case of domestic production. The NCC announced this on October 3, 2024.

NKK presented a comprehensive solution with re-engineering services and a software and hardware complex (PAC) of its own design ─ Case, in order to provide the largest plants countries with a gradual and safe transition to domestic solutions of industrial automation and an extension of the life of systems of foreign vendors.

The NCC solution is designed to meet the high demand of customers - enterprises with continuous technological processes. First of all, these are oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical and mining enterprises at which the operation of APCS of foreign manufacturers continues. Metrologists often face difficulties in combining technological networks of foreign and domestic manufacturers in the process of switching to domestic solutions, which makes it difficult to introduce new technologies and equipment. The NCC solution eliminates this problem by ensuring reliable network integration with guaranteed data exchange time, while maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the industrial system.

In addition, a ban on the use of foreign PCS from 2030 may lead to premature decommissioning of equipment. This will create risks of production process failures. The NCC solution makes it possible to use the hardware of foreign equipment until the end of its service life, smoothly switching to domestic systems and maintaining production stability.

Thus, the decision will allow companies to maintain the existing equipment fund and reduce the investment burden with a possible increase in the cost of PCS, which is predicted by NCC experts since 2025. At the same time, with the help of PAC Case, it is possible to transfer the operator level of PCS to domestic software products from Register of Russian Software Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation and one, register of Russian radio-electronic products Ministry of Industry and Trade RUSSIAN FEDERATION including and, operating systems SCADA ensuring compliance with the current regulatory requirements of the law and, in particular, Resolution Governments of the Russian Federation No. 1912.

In addition, PAC allows you to easily add additional operator workstations, expand the existing PCS with new domestic controllers, or completely replace the operator level. Also, PAC Case provides reading and writing data on both open and proprietary industrial protocols. This distinguishes the solution from all existing on the market, which specialize in data transmission only using open protocols, which significantly reduces the security of the industrial systems in which they are used.

Within the framework of the solution, NCC offers audit, consulting, integration of PCS systems and solutions to production companies.

There are domestic PCS, as well as successful implementation cases. However, it is not yet possible to fully replace all subsystems with domestic solutions. In addition, ensuring the necessary level of service and established relations with production sites is something that the largest enterprises of our country are already accustomed to, and this standard is not always achievable. In such conditions, the role of a system integrator becomes especially important, because we require not just the installation of equipment, but a full-fledged study of the interaction of software systems. The problem is that the introduction of systems with low maturity can lead to huge losses, which can amount to hundreds of millions of rubles. Companies are trying to extend the life of existing foreign systems, while reducing the risks associated with the lack of the necessary subsystems and a whole class of solutions. We offer the plants to actually stretch the financial burden for several years, to use CAPEX as efficiently as possible on the existing equipment fund until the Russian systems are fully ready for implementation, ─ said Andrey Gulakov, director of industrial automation at Systematics (part of the NCC).

The main metrologists in large enterprises with continuous production face many problems at the same time. The purchase of new licenses ones from foreign vendors has become complicated, it is impossible to get equipment through direct supplies, and there is no service support from the departed manufacturers. Plus, there are direct instructions from, Ministry of Digital Development RUSSIAN FEDERATION requiring plants to switch to domestic solutions. We offer enterprises of the chemical and petrochemical industries reengineering of existing systems, whether foreign or domestic. To do this, we have developed a domestic software and hardware complex that is able to integrate PCS and provide bidirectional deterministic data exchange on proprietary industrial protocols. The peculiarity of our solution is versatility: it works with any protocols, but is designed specifically for industrial data. Instead of a sharp replacement of foreign systems, we offer a tool for smooth adaptation and transition to domestic solutions. On September 25, 2024, we presented a prototype of our equipment, and in October we will begin the first pilot tests, "─ said Aleksey Babenkov, technical director of industrial automation at Systematica (part of NCC) and developer PAC Case.
