NPP Polygon: Attica Switches for Data Center

Ufa developer and manufacturer of active network equipment JSC NPP Polygon has launched mass production of a modernized version of Attica-5960M switches for data processing centers. The manufacturer announced this on November 18, 2024.

An exclusive feature is built into the upgraded devices - the Dallas Lock Trusted Boot Tool (SDZ), which ensures the safety of information by blocking attempts to unauthorized boot of a third-party/abnormal operating system, as well as monitoring the integrity of the software. This functionality is in demand when building networks at critical infrastructure facilities.

The Attica series switches include 24 to 48 SFP + ports at 1/10Gbit/s. All models are equipped with 6 QSFP + ports at 100Gbps and a USB 2.0 port. The 1 console port RS232 (RJ-45) is used for control. The maximum throughput of the equipment is 1.08Tb/s.

The devices are equipped with two hot-swappable power supplies and 4 replaceable fan modules with front-to-back airflow direction. This allows you to place equipment in the cabinet without leaving a gap between units, and save space in telecommunication cabinets, as well as accurately comply with the principle of "hot" and "cold" corridors to maintain the necessary temperature regime.

The devices use proprietary software that provides reliable functionality and scalability. The software used in switches is included in the register of Russian software.
