2020: nanoCAD Electro 20.0

On September 17, 2020, Nanosoft announced the release of the 20th version of the nanoCAD Electro program.

As of version 20, nanoCAD Electro is no longer delivered as a single unit with the nanoCAD Plus graphics platform. Now nanoCAD Electro is a separate program that is installed on nanoCAD Plus. This change will provide users with a number of advantages - for example, the ability to use nanoCAD Electro in conjunction with the nanoCAD SPDS module.

nanoCAD Electro 20.0 can be installed on nanoCAD Plus 20.1.

Major changes to nanoCAD Electro 20.0.

  • Plug-in Engineering BIM Exchanger supports Revit up to 2021.
  • Since version 20 databases , the hardware library is not included in the distribution of the program. This library now needs to be downloaded separately. The procedure for installing nanoCAD Electro and connecting data the equipment base library is described in the document Features of Installing nanoCAD Electro.
  • In this version, the export profile to IFC is set up in accordance with the requirements of the Moscow State Expert Review.

  • In the marking settings, the elements Luminaires, Sockets, Switches, Switches, Branching box added parameter No. In the group by analogy with parameter No. in the room.

2014: nanoCAD Electro 5.3

The main emphasis in the new version is made on simplifying and speeding up work on laying cable routes, on importing equipment from manufacturers' databases and on arranging the CSO on plans.

The main innovation of version 5.3 is the implementation in the program of a joint service with ETM to calculate prices and delivery dates for equipment included in the project.

The user has the opportunity to send the specification of equipment, products and materials generated in nanoCAD Electro to the ETM iPRO system. This can be done both on-line and by e-mail. In response, a letter will come with the set prices for the equipment and the terms of its delivery.

In addition, the new version of nanoCAD Electro includes the following changes (as of May 2014):

  • The process task import mechanism is implemented. The list of electrical receivers is imported from exchange *.xls files. You can also customize the import template.
  • The problem of redefining the height of the cable route when laying the SPS in it is solved. In the new version, you can set the Gasket Height, mm field to Do Not Change. In this case, the height of the cable route will remain unchanged when laying the SPS in it.
  • Added harness mode along room walls with indentation. To switch to this mode, set the Route to Walls parameter to Yes. When you specify points on a wall surface inside a space, alignments are created that are drawn along the walls with the specified indent. In this mode, you can move from one space to another and continue to draw alignments.
  • A list of the most recently used configurations has been added to the LCS Routing window. This list allows you to switch between previously used gasket configurations in two clicks.
  • This release greatly simplifies the mechanism for importing objects from manufacturer databases into the project database. Now, when linking equipment to a database in the equipment Data Base window, you can select any available database from the list and select the required element in it. At the time of binding, the equipment is automatically imported from the manufacturer database into the project database. This eliminates the need for the user to migrate equipment to the project base using the Import/Export Equipment window.
  • The UGO Base window has also undergone changes. At the top of the window, the panel of the most recently used CSU has been added.
  • The Select button has been deselected. Installation of CSU on the plan is performed by single pressing of the left mouse button on the icon.
  • Added possibility to place frame, stamps and title block on drawings as per GOST R 21.1101-2013. The frame is a special object of the program, so some of the fields are automatically filled with information from the project properties.
  • A new Break item has been added. With it, you can connect fragments of the planned network. If you want to create a right and left wing of the same floor in different drawings, or divide different types of networks of the same floor into several drawings, you previously had to use elements of interfloor transitions. Now it is enough to install two or more Break elements in the drawing and set them to the same name. Network snippets will be joined at break points.

2013: nanoCAD Electro 5.1

On December 9, 2013, Nanosoft announced the release of version 5.1 of the nanoCAD Electro program.

Major Changes and Innovations

  • In the new version, the developers focused on simplifying the creation of interfloor risers, improving functionality when working in 3D model mode, stability of the application, refinement of existing tools, and eliminating technical problems recorded by the automatic error recording system.

  • At the request of users, support for Windows XP was returned.

  • A new version of the graphics platform is included - nanoCAD 5.0.

  • In the electrical part, the functionality of nanoCAD Electro has undergone significant processing.
  • The Wizard for Creating Long-Distance Links was abolished, since it was no longer necessary to manually combine the ERD of vertical links into a single riser.
  • Added Riser Wizard. In this window, you can clearly check the correctness of combining vertical sections into an interfloor riser.
  • Added the ability to set the maximum allowable phase load difference.

2012: nanoCAD Electro 4.3

The main emphasis in this version is placed on such tasks as expanding the capabilities when working with switchgears, improving the functionality of generating a 3D model, the stability of the application, improving the existing functionality and, of course, eliminating technical problems recorded by the automatic error recording system.

It should also be noted that the program includes a new version of the graphics platform - nanoCAD 4.0. Refer to the What's New section for the nanoCAD platform for fixes and enhancements in version 4.0.

In the electrical part, the functionality of nanoCAD Electro has undergone significant processing.

Let's list the main innovations of version 4.3 (as of September 2012):

  • The 3D model generation function has been changed. In version 4.1, the project model was two-dimensional, and the 3D model was generated into a separate file as a reporting document. The project model now has two display modes, 2D and 3D. Mode switching is carried out by pressing a button on the main toolbar;
  • cable routes in three-dimensional mode have become solid. In version 4.1, they were displayed with a mesh design;
  • configuration mechanism of switchgear feeders has been changed. Previously, feeder filling was controlled using a special Fill field, which had a limited set of options (Automatic, Automatic + Starter, etc.). This field has now been removed and the user can pack the feeder with any equipment from the Switching Sets sections;
  • added functionality that allows you to flexibly control the output of the cabinet layout to the BOM. Now the equipment of any cabinet can be output to the equipment specification for both "order" and "information."

2011: nanoCAD Electro 4.0

Nanosoft announced in September 2011 the release of nanoCAD Electro 4.0, an optimized software product for computer-aided design in terms of power electrical equipment (EM) and internal electrical lighting (EO) of industrial and civilian facilities.

The program includes a new version of the graphics platform - nanoCAD 3.0. In general, during the preparation of this version, more than three hundred corrections and improvements were made, the Nanosoft report said.

In the electrical part, the functionality of "nanoCAD Electro" has undergone significant processing. In particular, in version 4.0: the window of the base of legend symbols has been redesigned; Changed hardware database file format (from *.mdb to *.sdf) when working with the equipment databases, the speed is increased and the amount of required RAM is reduced. Also added are the ability to set the order of objects in the room for automatic marking (lights, sockets, switches) and edit the geometry of the room.

In addition, the "nanoCAD Electro" version 4.0 fixed: the error of saving data when re-laying the cable according to PUE in cable routes; An error in which changing the process equipment tag in the Job Task window did not change it in the project. Error of incorrect location of the filter file to the CSU database. Also fixed a number of errors detected using the automatic online system for collecting errors from users.

You can get acquainted with the changes in the new version in more detail and download the distribution kit "nanoCAD Electro" 4.0 on the website "Nanosoft." For season ticket holders, the update is free. For owners of the boxed version, the cost of updating is 21 thousand rubles. The cost of the software product remained the same: an annual subscription costs 17 thousand, and a boxed solution - 77 thousand rubles.
