2022: Launch of ESD in-house production

The portfolio company Novomet-Perm of the Rusnano Group launched a fast charging station for own-made electric vehicles. The first test EZD is installed next to the company's plant and at the beginning of February 2022 it works free of charge for all car owners. The station is compatible with most electric vehicles present in the Russian market . This was announced on February 4, 2022 by Rusnano.

Over 15 years, the number of electric vehicles in the world has grown 7,000 times, and, according to the company, in 10 years it will be 30% of all vehicles. In Russia, according to the Concept for the Development of Electric Transport, approved last year by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, by 2030 at least 10% of cars produced in the country will be electric. Against this background, the issue of developing charging infrastructure is becoming more and more urgent.

The long-term experience of Novomet in the development of electric motors and control stations for oil production, as well as the presence of its own design laboratories and qualified specialists, make it possible to produce high-level equipment, including in the direction of green energy. One of the first projects of this development vector was an electric charging station.

"We have been producing electric drives for more than 20 years. And the release of charging stations is a logical vector of development for us in the direction of green energy. The first EZD is only the beginning. In the near future - the creation of a network of electric charges in Perm and Perm Territory, "- noted the general director of Novomet-Perm Maxim Perelman.

The presented ECDs  have a high power of 50 kW, are equipped with standard refueling cables and are able to charge two electric vehicles at the same time. The equipment has the degree of protection IP54 according to GOST 14254-2015. Connectors of the standard CHAdeMO, CCS-2 and Type-2 on EZD are compatible with most electric vehicles present in the Russian market.

The interface, touch panel and remote connectivity make the charging process easy and user friendly. Another feature of Novomet electric charges is the presence of a round-the-clock support service through a telegram channel.

At the beginning of February 2022, a mobile application is being tested, with the help of which it will be possible to see the status of the station, find the nearest EZDs, lay a route to them and book a "refueling" time.
