2024: Mini BIF Solution Development
Russian The aircraft IT solutions vendor ORS announced the development of the Mini BIF solution. It will allow airlines to more quickly supply data RMS and, as a result, improve analytical and predictive opportunities for financial growth in indicators. The developer announced this on March 25, 2024.
RMS (from the English Revenue Management Systems, or revenue management systems) play a key role in the airline business, affecting financial performance. RMS analyzes demand, identifies patterns and, based on them, creates recommendations for each price segment on the airline's flights. The more quickly RMS receives data, the more effective analytics are at maximizing profits and minimizing losses.
RMS receives data in various formats, including BIF files. BIFs transmit information for one flight, several flights, flight range, all flights for a given time period. Since BIFs are large files, most often they arrive at RMS only a few times a day.
Mini BIF differs from BIF in the ability to flexibly narrow the output of information using filters, reduce the size of the file, and bind it to RMS both to the schedule and to certain triggers. As a result, the operator can quickly receive data in RMS dozens of times a day.
In the form of Mini BIF, airlines receive powerful technology for more efficient resource management based on RMS analytics, - said ORS Production Director Andrei Miller. - This decision gives airlines the opportunity to increase profits and margins and reduce lost profits. |
