OSA Hybrid Platform On-Shelf-Availability

In September, 2017 at the Annual ECR Forum the Uniform ECR Russia What System - a single platform of the interconnected technologies and services which is developed by Community ECR Russia for the joint solution of business challenges of suppliers and retail networks was submitted.

At the Forum provided the following services:

• ECR Laboratory,
• Ruskat (the uniform directory of master data for networks and producers),
• On-Shelf-Availability Hybrid Platform (OSA HP) (service for ensuring existence of goods on the shelf in real time)
• and Image Recognition (service for recognition in real time).

According to the research ECR among 72 largest companies of retail, the monthly need for image understanding in the world market of retail makes not less than 1.9 billion photos with the predicted growth to 3.5 billion in the next two years.

OSA Hybrid Platform (OSA HP) is the service created with assistance of ECR Russia, on the basis of applied artificial intelligence, providing permanent goods availability on the shelf (OSA – from engl. on-shelf availability, goods availability on the shelf) in optimal quantity in real time.

The technology of visual recognition of goods of IMAGE RECOGNITION developed by Neuromation.io will be integrated into service for ensuring existence of goods on the regiment OSA Hybrid Platform, the implemented ECR Russia in large retail chain stores. This technology gives to the merchandiser a clear understanding about existence or lack of goods on the shelf in real time and helps to control correctness of the calculation of goods.

The OSA Hybrid Platform service works at a basis of the analysis of the Big Data obtained from the retailer and suppliers and also data from external sources. Processing these data in real time, the algorithms put in the platform allow instantly and with a high accuracy to define cases of lack of goods on the shelf and also their reasons, sending a signal of a problem and the recommendation about its elimination to the necessary section of a supply chain.

Implementation of IMAGE RECOGNITION technology will allow to increase a scope to 100% of sales points, to automate recognition process, to reduce time of processing and to reduce quantity of errors and also to extend technology to the level of the industry standard.

In the nearest future OSA HP and IMAGE RECOGNITION services are available in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Barnaul and also in Ukraine.

Neuromation.io also declared sales opportunity of object recognition on devices of end users (merchandisers) without the need for connection to the server that will allow to scale ECR services quickly. Neuromation.io set a target accuracy figure of recognition on a loss of 95%.
