2023: Product Announcement
In September 2023, the Moscow State Technological University "Stankin" announced the creation of cargo drones for hard-to-reach regions. We are talking about modular drones "OTUS."
As RIA Novosti was told in the press service of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) platform, thanks to the replaceable modules, drones can deliver cargo of various sizes and weights to hard-to-reach settlements in Russia. The project successfully passed the acceleration program at the design and educational intensity "Archipelago 2023."
Within the framework of the flight control system, autopilot with elements of artificial intelligence is used, which is necessary for work in remote areas. The developed flight controller allows you to ensure the safety and efficiency of the UAV in any conditions, the developers say.
According to them, the design of the logistics system provides modular components that are easily replaceable. It will be enough for the operator after landing the UAV to replace the batteries and other modules according to the instructions that will be created on the basis of the flight mission - flight distance, size and weight of the cargo. Next, you need to place the aircraft on the launch pad, check the onboard systems and press the launch button. After that, OTUS will automatically perform all the necessary actions: deliver the cargo to its destination and return back.
The uniqueness of the project lies in the organization of a connected transport network, which allows you to deliver goods to destination points as efficiently as possible. An intelligent system will minimize human participation and reduce costs. The main advantages are the cost and speed of delivery, - said the project leader Semyon Korolev.[1] |
