2020: Creation start of "digital double" of St. Petersburg
On September 7, 2020 the governor St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov announced the beginning of creation "digital double" the cities which will allow to control a status of city objects. For this purpose the Internet portal "Certification of Subjects to Improvement of St. Petersburg" which contains data on 15 million objects of the urban environment will receive the status state of an information system (GIS) and will be renamed into "Objects of the urban environment St. Petersburg".
As reported in the press service of Smolny, conversion of the portal to GIS will allow to expand the list of controlled objects and to automate process of their inventory. Also integrate other information systems of the city into a new resource, and further using a system for inventory of objects laser scanning in the territory of St. Petersburg will be carried out.
Alexander Beglov emphasized that the new resource should provide full control of all objects — not only city, but also federal, municipal and private.
In this system we should understand and see accurately in what status there is each object, irrespective of pattern of ownership. This compulsory provision. We should go not parts — "islands" and as on "a continuous carpet", consistently to scan all territory — quarters and areas that any object did not drop out of a viewing field, of a zone of our control — the governor told. |
The website "Certification of Subjects to Improvement of St. Petersburg" designed in 2015 allows to control a status of problem facades and buildings, to monitor unauthorized dumps and the maintenance of roads, to carry out the assessment of a status of objects of cultural heritage and green plantings. On the portal more than 3 thousand users are registered, Alexander Beglov in September, 2020 reported.[1]
