The microphone preamplifier was MPU-1 designed to amplify the sound from the passive microphone, reduce the likelihood of interference and significantly improve the signal level for receiving equipment (mixing console, sound card, etc.) without additional noise, hum or color.

Users often face the problem of low signal strength from a tape or dynamic microphone. These microphones are passive and require sound amplification. Expensive mixing consoles and professional-level external sound cards can easily cope with this problem. As for the budget segment of sound cards, their input stages of the preamplifier cannot always transmit a signal from the microphone correctly without high noise levels. First of all, the MPU-1 is 18 dB of gain. The microphone preamplifier is used in studio and concert work to amplify the signal from dynamic and tape microphones.

MPU-1 can be used in conjunction with our other 2023 development - the MD-307 concert microphone. Preamilistel performed well with a Octava ML-52-02 tape microphone. At the same time, the model has a universal connection and will work in the same way in tandem with microphones of other brands.
