Industrial plants often use complex technological facilities. To ensure their effective work, experts conduct tests using mathematical models. Scientists at Perm Polytechnic for the first time created a software complex that will optimize the energy supply system and reduce the costs of companies. This was announced by the university on October 13, 2021.
The developers published the first results of the study in the Journal of Physics: Conference Series. Scientists executed it within the state task of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The development was also implemented with the support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and the Perm Territory.
By 2025, sales of gas turbines in the world will reach $23.7 billion, and in Russia by this time it is planned to localize their production domestically. To make the testing process of gas turbine plants and power plants simpler and more efficient, various mathematical models are used. But so far there has not been developed software that would model jointly an energy gas turbine plant and an electrical system of arbitrary configuration. According to scientists, the presented tool will help reduce the time and financial costs of modeling electricity. Unlike analogues, all elements of the power system are included in unified units, so development is easy to use. Using the software complex, the user will be able to conduct the necessary experiments, testing the work of both individual parts of the object and the entire system. If necessary, the product can be adapted to the needs of the customer by installing new modules.
Mathematical models of technological objects allow you to describe the main modes of their operation with high accuracy. They also take into account how different elements of the system affect each other. But to see the full range of operating modes and interactions, you need a complex and universal model. It's at the heart of our software product. With it, you can create diagrams of any complexity and configuration that take into account different modes and processes of operation, "the developer explained. |
According to scientists, the development can be implemented at enterprises in the field of mechanical engineering. Several enterprises have already become interested in the prototype of the software complex.
