2023: Creating a Marketplace

Promsvyazbank (PSB) has created its own marketplace for the sale of electronics and other goods. The project called "PSB Market" became known on March 20, 2023.

By this time, according to Vedomosti, the trading platform presents goods of various categories, including electronics (mainly smartphones of Chinese brands, protective films, watches and headphones), products (primarily long-term storage products). A separate category of goods offered by the marketplace are quadcopters - more than 50 models are available on the PSB market at a price of up to 5,000 rubles.

PSB Market was created and will work in cooperation with the KazanExpress marketplace. When creating orders for PSB Market, buyers receive SMS with confirmation from KazanExpress, online sites have a similar assortment. KazanExpress clarified to the newspaper that they work with the PSB platform - they provide consultations, issue orders Marketplace at their points of receipt.

The chief analyst of RAEK Maria Saykina, in a conversation with the publication, estimated the cost of launching a marketplace at least 1 million rubles. She believes that there is still room for new marketplaces on the market. At the same time, other experts remind that even Sber failed to compete with Ozon and Wildberries with its traffic volume and investment capabilities.

Boris Ovchinnikov, partner of Cross Insights, says that the scale of the project looks "very modest": the attendance of the PSB website is 1.5 times less than that of KazanExpress, and 100 times less than the attendance of Ozon.
