On May 30 the PTC company announced start of new applications of ThingWorx for production. Role-based applications for production are quickly unrolled and provide to industrial enterprises operational data in real time for adoption of pro-active and fast solutions.

The ThingWorx Manufacturing applications are developed based on the ThingWorx platform – the specialized platform of Industrial Internet of Things which includes the technologies and tools allowing the companies to develop, unroll and distribute quickly applications of augmented reality. The ThingWorx Manufacturing applications are a part of generation of web applications of Industrial Internet of Things for mobile devices among which the ThingWorx Navigate application. Applications unify data from corporate business systems and the touch physical world and also provide to users information in real time in the context of separate roles. Applications for production help to simplify digital transformation, are quickly unrolled and provide scaling of applications for continuous and rapid implementation of innovations. The first ThingWorx Manufacturing applications will be available to free download and can be unrolled on production less than for an hour.

ThingWorx Controls Advisor — gives to controls engineers an opportunity to be connected quickly and to remotely visualize data practically from any programmable logic controller (PLC), IoT Gateway or the connected asset. The application allows to trace and fix problems with connection to the computer and to notify instantly on data exchange errors which can lead to loss of important production information. Thanks to pro-active identification of problems and also fast identification of trends and troubleshooting producers can increase quality and reliability of data and to reduce unplanned idle times.

ThingWorx Asset Advisor — in real time provides the overview of a status and the status of crucial assets. The application warns house keepers and service engineers about potential problems which can lead to unplanned idle times, for the purpose of service process optimization and also provides simple and convenient tools for identification and troubleshooting. The application remotely traces and detects anomalies in different assets and allows users to estimate their efficiency and to minimize unplanned idle times. Maintenance and service support specialists can make more justified and fast decisions at the expense of the unified real-time communication with the major production assets and to take corrective actions before problems influence production.

ThingWorx Production Advisor — quickly integrates separate sources of operating rooms and business data. With the ThingWorx Production Advisor application directors in real time obtain information on a status of production and critical key performance indicators, such as availability, performance, quality and overall effectiveness of the equipment (OEE). The application also allows heads of the enterprises to control in real time the current performances of all production lines, all assets with the relevant status of production and KPI of performance. Thanks to existence approved machine and business data in real time the application provides a basis for effective forecasting, allowing to make operational decisions for prevention of problems and ensuring continuous improvement.
