2025: "Panorama Photo" version 1.6
On March 11, 2025, Panorama Design Bureau announced the development of a Panorama Photo aerial photography processing program version 1.6 using CUDA version 12.6 technology for the Astra Linux Special Edition operating system. Panorama Photo is designed to obtain digital information about the area from images from unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to the company, the primary result of the processing is a point cloud, on the basis of which a height matrix and orthophofuels are created. The processing process is completely automatic. The optional step of measuring the reference points in the images allows you to improve the accuracy of the orientation.
The program can be used to solve problems in the field of urban planning and cadastral activities, countries defense, mapping,, and ecology forest municipal farms and others. Formed in Data Panorama Photo, are used as a reliable and visual control tool when performing work on to construction and reconstructing various types of municipal property transport and infrastructure. On the basis data prepared by the complex, three-dimensional terrain models are created, mathematical models of emergencies are built and analyzed in the Panorama GIS. Orthofuels created in Panorama Photo provide a base for identifying and monitoring storage sites for various types of waste, conducting forest inventory to assess damage from fires, air pollution and illegal deforestation.
The calculations are parallelized on a multi-core processor and video card, so increasing the number of processor cores and the amount of video memory optimizes the data processing process. On a computer with a modern video card and RAM from 128 GB for 1 square meters. km of aerial photography with a point size of about 2 cm, it takes 1 hours to obtain a volumetric model, an altitude matrix and an orthophotos.
The orthofuels obtained in the program can be used to create vector maps. This is automatically possible with the Panorama Vision automatic recognition and vectorization complex. The client module of the complex is called as an application task in the Panorama GIS. The complex is based on artificial intelligence using trained neural networks. Panorama Vision allows you to recognize the contours of areas of fields, hydrographic objects (rivers, ponds, lakes and others), buildings, structures and roads. It generates applications for data processing to the server part of the complex, located on the hardware of the Panorama Design Bureau. As a result of processing, a vector map is created with contours of recognized objects, for example, with contours of buildings and structures.
All processing results obtained in Panorama Photo and Panorama GIS (matrices, point clouds, orthophotals, vector maps) can be further used in various software products of Panorama Design Bureau for two-dimensional and three-dimensional (volumetric) visualization of the area.
For orderly storage and use of data, the "Digital Card and Data Bank of the FAR" is used. This complex is the basis for building the spatial data infrastructure of the federal, regional and municipal levels and in corporate information systems. It is used for cloud storage of spatial data sets, collection and storage of metadata, selection and issuance of spatial data on requests, preparation of reports, formation and publication of geocopies, display of data bank status in the form of maps. Provides remote placement of spatial data sets into the file storage, maintaining versions of stored sets, updating data availability maps, automated collection and generation of metadata.
2024: "Panorama Photo" version 1.5
A KB "Panorama" program for processing aerial photography materials "Panorama Photo" version 1.5 using CUDA technology version 12.5 has been developed. The program supports graphics processors Nvidia with Hopper architectures (Nvidia H100 accelerators) and Ada Lovelace (GeForce RTX 40xx series accelerators). This provides a significant (up to five times) increase in performance compared to previous generation Nvidia chips. Use of numerically stable algorithms solutions of systems of equations at the stage of equalization of calculated elements of internal orientation increases accuracy of formed cloud of points. The developer announced this on November 14, 2024.
"Panorama Photo" is designed to receive digital information about the area based on materials from aerial photography. The primary processing product is a point cloud, on the basis of which a height matrix and orthophotos are created. The processing process is completely automatic, except for the optional step of measuring the reference points in the images.
Orthofuels obtained in Panorama Photo can be used to create and update vector maps using the Panorama Vision automatic recognition and vectorization complex. The complex is based on artificial intelligence using trained neural networks. Panorama Vision allows you to recognize the contours of areas of fields, hydrographic objects (rivers, ponds, lakes and others), buildings and structures. The client module of the complex is called as an application task in the professional GIS "Panorama." It generates applications for data processing to the server part of the complex, located on the hardware of the Panorama Design Bureau. As a result of processing, a vector map is created with contours of recognized objects, for example, with contours of buildings and structures.
All processing results obtained in Panorama Photo and Panorama Vision (matrices, point clouds, orthophotals, vector maps) can later be used in various software products of Panorama Design Bureau for two-dimensional and three-dimensional (volumetric) visualization of the area.
