Parallels Access

Parallels Access supports remote work with Windows applications and Mac from the iPad tablet. 2014

Parallels Access 1.1

On January 28, 2014 the Parallels company announced release of the new version of Parallels Access for iPad.

In the new application version redesign under iOS 7 is executed, support of 11 languages and new operating systems which appeared at Apple and Microsoft is included. Now the application fully works with the PC running Windows (earlier this option was available only in the beta mode). Also the company changed price policy concerning Parallels Access: there was an opportunity to purchase a monthly subscription (in addition to annual), and the user who purchases one subscription can work with 10 remote computers at once - not one as earlier.

The main opportunities and functions in the version of Parallels Access 1.1:

• full support of remote access as to computers with OS Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, and to Mac with Mavericks, Mountain Lion and Lion OS;
• localization on 11 languages. In addition to initial English and German were added the Russian, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, traditional and simplified Chinese;
• redesign under iOS 7 and optimization of work with this Mobile OS;
• connection through one network port. It will allow to simplify significantly work with the application in those corporate networks where Internet access is limited by several ports.

On June 17, 2014 the Parallels company announced release of the new version of the application of Parallels Access.

• For users of IOS: now it is possible to write a sound in desktop applications, using the iPad microphone or iPhone, for example, in programs of speech recognition;
• An opportunity to change display resolution, setting the most suitable for you.

The new corporate application version allows IT administrators is centralized to set, manage and ensure safety of remote access of employees to working computers, including providing or prohibition of access and reassignment of accounts.

2015

Parallels Access 2.5

In version 2.5 there was an access from the computer to the computer, the universal manager of files, integration into the Samsung S PEN stylus for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge. Functions include a possibility of remote access from the computer on the computer and also the universal manager of files, integration into the Samsung S PEN stylus and support of recently appeared operating systems of OS X Yosemite and Windows 10 Technical Preview. Also all owners of the mobile devices Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge will receive a free six-months subscription to Parallels Access in a gift application package of Galaxy Gifts.

The Parallels Access functions are developed with the purpose to increase efficiency of remote work as from the mobile phone, and, for example, from "someone else's" computer.

• Copying of the file from the remote computer directly on the mobile device.
• Viewing local or remote files before to open them (functions of a preview for the majority of formats are supported).
• Access from the computer to the computer: remote connection via the modern browser to the computer from any other PC – at the same time on it will not be required to set any additional client software.
• Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge: remote access to the computer and work with files from the newest mobile devices of Sumsung company with support of opportunities of the Samsung S PEN stylus.
• iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus: optimization under the sizes and display resolution of these smartphones.
• Kindle Fire: optimization under operation of this device.
• The choice of the device for playing of a sound: the user can listen to audio recordings both from the smartphone or the tablet, and from the remote computer.

Parallels for iOS and Android

On August 11, 2015 the Parallels company declared a release of the Parallels Access application for mobile devices running iOS and Android. Its structure includes possibilities of file sharing with other people.

When using Parallels Access for remote access to the PC and Mac it is not necessary to set cloud services and to spend time for loading there of these files. Process can be managed directly from the application on the PC or Mac. In this version the additional annex to Apple Watch for convenient management of remote access.

Requirements to devices and remote computer

Parallels Access 3.0

On August 23, 2015 the Parallels company announced release of version 3.0 of the Parallels Access application for remote access to the PC and Mac. In its structure an opportunity for users to freely share files (even very big sizes) with other people, without using cloud services and without loading^[1] there].
