Branches: Pharmaceutics, medicine, health care,  Medical centers,  State clinics,  Private clinics
Technology: Computer

Philips Ingenuity is family of computer tomographs which offers a high image quality, reduction of beam loading, means for joint work and integration, high profitability, high-quality care of the patient and upgrade in process of development of medical institution.

Features (data for August, 2018)

  • Stability when scanning
    • Philips iPatient is the advanced platform helping to control a KT-system and to consider future tasks. With its help it is possible to focus on results, but not on scanning process. Besides, it offers the round-the-clock stability of work and confidence in functioning of systems.

  • Low beam loading and improvement of image quality

    • The Philips IMR technology allows to lower at the same time beam load of 60 — 80%, to improve low-contrast permission to 43 — 80% and to reduce noise by 70 — 83%. The IMR technology gives confidence in correctness of indicators thanks to the improved visualization of fine details.

  • Quick start of interpretation due to preprocessing in the IntelliSpace Portal system

    • Single solution for data visualization based on the innovative technology offers means for quick access, viewing, the analysis, diagnostics and submission of images. It can be applied to different disciplines and types of visualization in all territory of medical institution.

2018: Philips Ingenuity Elite 128

In the computer Ingenuity Elite 128 tomograph (year of production — 2018; quantity of cuts — 128) the Philips company uses a number of the integrated technologies allowing to lower beam loading and volume of the entered contrast substance without any compromise solutions and with preserving of diagnostic quality of images.

According to the company, fourth generation of technology of decrease in a dose of iDose4 allows to reduce noise level on images and to improve visualization of soft fabrics and vessels at decrease in a dose on value to 80%. The SyncRight function increases coordination of introduction of contrast substance and allows to lower its dose on value to 15%.

For cooling of a tube of MRC Ice the liquid cooling system allowing to conduct urgent researches of patients without interruption is used. MRC Ice is expected the large volume of researches and round-the-clock operation. The tube does not need time for heating before carrying out a research and on cooling after completion of scanning.

Clinical opportunities

  • Increase in spatial resolution at the same level of a dose on value up to 68%
  • Decrease in beam load of value to 50% at increase in spatial resolution at value up to 35%
  • Decrease in beam load of value to 80% at the same diagnostic quality of images
  • The personalized injections of contrast substance for maintenance of steadily high-quality images

According to Philips, the system of reconstruction of images RapidView IR works for 137% quicker than the similar system of first generation installed on Brilliance tomographs. In a standard mode of reconstruction it takes less than 60 seconds for 86% of minutes of researches. When using iDose4 technology reconstruction takes less than 60 seconds for 67% of minutes of researches.

The Ingenuity system is expected broad integration with the information systems HIS/RIS, an injektor of contrast substances, the PACS system, the Brilliance Workspace workstation, the solutions Intellispace Portal and other devices. These opportunities allow to optimize workflow and to increase quality of medical care to patients.[1]
