Pioneer (kamikaze drone)

In mid-May 2025, it became known that the ground-based kamikaze robot "Pioneer" was at the disposal of the Russian army. It is capable of overcoming difficult obstacles and destroying various enemy objects, including bunkers.

The machine, in the creation of which the engineers of the Alania volunteer detachment participated, consists of three modules on wheels connected by special rotary couplers. Thanks to these mechanical joints, the Pioneer can move along funnels, embankments and other difficult areas that other ground robots cannot cope with.

The six-wheeled platform is driven by an electric motor, which allows you to develop a high speed of movement over rough terrain even with cargo. The battery Block can be charged in the field. The "Pioneer" is controlled by the operator from the first person using a remote control with a display. It takes about 15 minutes to deploy the complex and prepare for the mission.

The new robot can be used as a "land torpedo." The "pioneer" is capable of operating in conjunction with kamikaze aerial drones and unmanned reconnaissance aircraft. The machine also allows you to deliver various cargoes (products, ammunition, water) and weapons to the front line - for example, a module with guided missiles or a heavy machine gun.
