The Prana solution developed for the electric power industry allows you to connect all the equipment of the power unit to the system: booster compressors, gas and steam turbines, recovery boilers, generators and pumping units. The availability of complete information on the condition of all parts of the unit increases the reliability of its operation.
2022: Integration with Efros Config Inspector
Predictive Analytics and Remote Monitoring Software and Hardware System PRANA received an additional degree of protection of the IT infrastructure and the state of the working environment of network equipment. JSC "ROTEK" and LLC "Gazinformservice" have concluded an agreement on integration of the software product Efros Config Inspector into modules of PRANA System. This was reported by ROTEC on February 21, 2022.
Now Efros CI is integrated into the System, allowing you to quickly diagnose possible failures that may occur in the IT infrastructure and maintain the optimal level of security, eliminating detected vulnerabilities.
In particular, security instrumentation includes monitoring the integrity of active network equipment (ACS) configurations and virtualization environment hypervisors, as well as detecting vulnerabilities and errors in system software security settings.
Efros CI security analysis tools implement the following functions:
- Identification and analysis of vulnerabilities associated with errors in the configuration of the OS and AWS software and PRANA System servers;
- Monitoring of installation of APC software updates and PRANA System servers;
- Monitor the integrity of ACS configurations and virtualization environment hypervisors.
Cooperation with Gazinformservice for us is a logical continuation of the development strategy of the PRANA Predictive Analytics System, a significant component of which is the information security function. Our customers are companies of the fuel and energy complex of Russia, just those capacities of critical infrastructure on which the country's energy security depends. The decision from Gazinformservice will become an additional tool that guarantees the safety of data and is able to respond to all newly emerging network threats. said Director of Digital Solutions and Projects of ROTEC JSC Alexander Kukanov.

Up to 4x the performance of the MVSM core
Predictive Analytics and Remote Monitoring Appliance PRANA received another operating system update. This was announced on September 1, 2021 by ROTEC.
As part of the planned development processes of the System, an updated component - MVSM-kernel (multivariate vector statistical model). MVSM for August 2021 is one of the key elements of the mathematical apparatus for analysis hardware status and is required to create and play multidimensional its status models - digital images that describe how equipment works within the control period and in real time. Playing models from actual operational data makes it possible to identify deviating parameters in the operation of industrial equipment with extremely high sensitivity - even if they do not yet affect the state of the plant, which means they are not fixed Traditional management and monitoring systems.
The large-scale kernel update was implemented taking into account the wishes of engineers and operating personnel working at power generation facilities and fuel and energy complex, equipment of which is protected by PRANA System.
The performance of the presented module is more than 4 times the previous version, System stability is seriously improved. It has been redesigned to provide linear horizontal scaling of server capacities with using modern IT such as docker\kubernates and streaming kafka services. This implementation of MVSM will allow on one side significantly improve the quality of the System (increase productivity and availability, reduce response time to observed deviation equipment), and on the other - remove a number of previously present in the System restrictions (including by the number of models simultaneously in operation equipment), which will allow in real time to analyze the operation of its individual units and increase sensitivity of the System to arising deviations.
As part of the solution for protection of CII facilities
On July 6, 2021, Group-IB announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with the industrial holding JSC ROTEK to ensure the technological and cybersecurity of critical infrastructure facilities.
In the framework of cooperation, all technological risks of customers associated with accident prevention are closed by the ROTECA software and hardware complex - PRANA. More details here.
Switching to the ClickHouse System
On February 8, 2021, the company MOUTH announced that the PRANA software and hardware complex was switching to the Russian analytical. database management system Yandex ClickHouse
An increasing number of equipment is connected to the PRAN System, and areas in which predictive methods are used are expanding.
PRANA is the industry standard for predictive and remote monitoring in Russia. Solutions from Yandex will become an additional guarantee of the reliability of PRANA, which receives as of February 2021 more than 30 thousand parameters per second from industrial equipment control systems and uses a data archive exceeding 50 TB.
The speed and fault tolerance of Yandex ClickHouse will help the PRAN software and hardware complex provide additional hardware security. critical infrastructure We cannot allow failures in either the program or the "iron" part of the prognostics system. Yandex ClickHouse completely closes our needs for the speed of the main datastores one and is suitable for our analytical needs, and its suitability for scalability in any volumes without increasing data processing time is exactly what we need when further extending our prognostics system to other industries, "said industries ON Igor Trudnoshin, director of the PRA system development department. |
Yandex services ClickHouse designed so that even with the emergency shutdown of one of the data centers, they remain in working condition without functional degradation. This quality of the solution from Yandex is critical, taking into account the need for round-the-clock and continuous processing of large volumes of data coming from electric power facilities and fuel and energy systems in real time. As of February 2021, PRANA monitors the technical condition of more than 130 units of complex industrial equipment, worth about $5 billion.

To predict the state of the equipment, Prana creates a mathematical model of the object based on the reference parameters of the operation of the serviceable equipment. It is with her in the future that the behavior of the installation is compared. According to the developers, Prana reveals the development of defects 2-3 months before the discovery of their standard automated control system - this allows you to reduce the cost of purchasing spare parts to 30%, but most importantly, to switch from emergency to planned repairs.
The Prana prognostics system is registered as a software product, its patenting in Russia is completed. Patenting applications have been filed in the United States and the European Union.
The system for predicting the state of Prana equipment is included in the unified Register of Russian software (software) in April 2017. The register of domestic software was created to support Russian developers - the software included in it is allowed to participate in public procurement, unlike foreign counterparts.
"At the beginning of 2017, Prana has already analyzed more than 1 million hours of energy equipment. Initially, we used the system to analyze the most complex unit - the gas turbine. But practice shows that Prana is able to work in almost all types of industrial installations - from a rolling mill to infrastructure facilities, "said Mikhail Lifshits, chairman of the board of directors of Rotek.
