On March 3, 2020 the Pure Storage company announced availability of the seventh generation of updates of Evergreen and all-NVMe FlashArray//X of third generation. 2018: Availability of ES2 service on a subscription

On July 16, 2018 the Pure Storage company, producer of the platform of data storage all flash, announced significant updating of the Evergreen Storage program. Clients can subscribe on Evergreen Storage Service (ES2) service with payment after delivery, also now as well as on the optimized support of Evergreen Gold and Evergreen Silver, saving the existing Right-Size Guarantee guarantee (a guarantee of compression ratio and deduplication from the producer) from Pure with any expansion of capacity, and is termless.

Thanks to the ES2 company can use "DWH as service" (Storage-as-a-Service) for adaptation to the changing requirements for capacity. ES2 — a part of Evergreen which allows clients to get advantages of implementation of innovations without stopping of business processes, explained in Pure. ES2 can be unrolled within only several days, providing to clients completely flexible, scalable solution of the Tier-1 level unrolled on the platform of the customer and having feature set of a corporate class. ES2 allows clients to receive service of data storage of the corporate level, having saved at the same time up to 50% of costs in comparison with traditional cloud services, comparable on reliability, claim in Pure Storage. The minimum terms of subscription on ES2 make only 12 months up to 100 TB effective capacities.

Clients of the company can expand a guarantee for effective capacity now using Right-Size Guarantee which is issued on all life activity of their DWH, prolonging it for six months along with any increase in capacity. This guarantee is issued to provide to clients the volume of useful space necessary to them, and not just for reduction of volume of data storage or increase in overall effectiveness, specified in Pure. The emphasis on useful space of storage allows the client to avoid overpayments for an excessive amount of memory and inconveniences because the space of storage will be too small.

The Evergreen Storage program includes the following key components:

• Complete software package for work with arrays. The program of Pure company gives to clients access not only to the existing functions available at the time of purchase, but also to all future functionality.
• The high level of client support, including predictive support and a 15-minute response time on requests recorded in the service agreement (SLA).
• Free updating within three years. Together with each prolongation for three years of the Evergreen Gold program the client receives the freshest version of FlashArray controllers.
• Exchange with surcharge. Clients can update controllers of arrays at any time, at the same time the cost of old controllers is set off in replacement cost (a trade in).
• Consolidation of arrays. Thanks to permanent updating of infrastructure and the program a trade-in when replacing former arrays on new clients have opportunities new, more capacious and more productive a flash arrays.

The enterprises and providers of services can set ES2 both on the platforms, and in commercial now data centers, such as Equinix that increases flexibility of the supported hybrid cloud environments and provides direct connection to public cloud services, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
