QiBox

Product

Ascon for the first time provided the new development – a management system for preparation of production of the automobile QiBox components.

Developers: ASCON
Date of the premiere of the system: September 01, 2011
Branches: Mechanical engineering and instrument making
Technology: PLM - Product lifecycle management,  CAD

The Ascon company announced an exit of QiBox (quality-in-box), the complete solution for management of preparation of production of automobile components according to the ISO/TS 16949 standard. QiBox is developed together with the French consulting company UTAC, the auditor of quality systems at the enterprises of alliance Renault Nissan. The solution is intended for increase in efficiency of suppliers of autocomponents by preparation of production of new products, said in official release.

As explained TAdviser in Ascon though QiBox in itself is not a PLM system, he fits into the concept of PLM (as product data management for lifecycle). QiBox is the solution consisting of several systems of a different class. For example, the management system for engineering data is a PDM system, other module is already a project management system and so on, the head of competence center of QiBox Yury Sirota told.

He says that Ascon is going to sell a new solution both in Russia, and in the CIS. According to UTAC if it turns out to make several high-quality implementations in Russia, there are good chances in emerging markets, for example, of China and India, added to the companies. Now there is implementation of a new system at several enterprises of the Samara and Ulyanovsk regions. Customers of a system are the enterprises which are engaged in production of autocomponents.

The cost of a system is from 700 thousand rubles, including the minimum set of services in installation and training. At the same time the price does not include the cost of licenses of the PILOT and VERTICAL systems.

At the same time there are two options of delivery of systems: without adaptation system deployment takes one-two months, with adaptation two-five months. "Absolutely without consulting a system cannot be installed as the minimum setup, installation and training is required", - told TAdviser in Ascon.

The solution is initially constructed on tough methodology of the international industry standard for automotive industry of ISO/TS 16949 and already contains the procedure of quality of new products of ANPQP adopted in Renault Nissan in the form of the automated business process and also output forms of necessary documents.

Solution QiBox at the same time multicomponent. It includes directly a subsystem for project management, applications for managements of special characteristics, automation of work of ad hoc methods (FMEA, SPC, MSA), formation of a set of documents for representation to the consumer. Besides, the data management system and electronic archive based on LOTSMAN:PLM and also the systems of design enter it: any CAD system (Russian or foreign) and CAD of technology processes of VERTIKAL.

All solution components interact among themselves, communicating through a uniform electronic data archive where all information appearing on all phases of the ANPQP procedure is stored. Ascon claims that it allows to manage effectively changes and guarantees relevance of documentation at any stage. In addition, all users of the solution QiBox use uniform help databases from which data are applied at all stages of preparation of production.

Developers also say that implementation of QiBox will allow the enterprise to control the course of the preparation of production organized according to consumer requirements and procedures of quality of APQP or ANPQP. Besides, a system will help to reduce terms of development (upgrade) and setting of products by production, to increase quality of the technical documentation conforming to consumer requirements and also timely and to quickly carry out changes in constructions of products and processes and to transfer up-to-date engineering data to a production management system.

According to Yury Sirota, the ready algorithms of business processes put in a system, methodology of ISO/TS and output forms allow to reduce implementation time and personnel trainings considerably. "Today the global competition forces the companies to minimize time of development and setting of new cars in production and to constantly improve their quality. Therefore it is not enough to supplier to fulfill the requirements of ISO/TS 16949, it is necessary to consider also requirements of the specific consumer", - he explained.
