2019: Opening in Europe Qualcomm Technologies laboratories for work with 5G networks
On July 24, 2019 the Qualcomm Technologies company announced opening of a test object for work with 5G networks in Europe. NR 5G network on an object completely conforms to requirements of the document 3GPP Release 15 and in the future will allow to work with technologies and standards which will be entered into Release 16 and further. The laboratory is intended for complex studying and testing of opportunities of wireless networks in the millimetric range (mmWave). In this laboratory OEM manufacturing of devices and the European mobile operators will be able to test and select optimal adjustments of network for different solutions with support of mmWave. 2017: Description of a system
For July 4, 2017 a 5G of New Radio (NR) - technology of sharing of a range of available frequencies for all types of ranges: the licensed and not licensed, shared and other frequencies, from bands with a range of sub-6 GHz to high-frequency bands in the range of millimeter waves.
In November, 2016 the Qualcomm Technologies company provided the prototype system of sharing of a range of a 5G New Radio (NR) and its test[1].
Prototype system 5G for sharing of a frequency spectrum from Qualcomm Technologies supplements the existing prototypes of system 5G NR with a range of sub-6 GHz and a system with a range of millimeter waves, showing our commitment to acceleration and tracking of process of standardization 5G NR in 3GPP. A system is developed taking into account compatibility with future technologies of the general spectrum use. Matt Grob, executive vice president and director of Qualcomm Technologies technologies |
As a part of New Radio 5G base station and subscriber equipment. The test platform of sharing of a range is expanded for support of Listen-Before-Talk (LBT) technology, support of broadband waves with a low delay, improvements in radio - and the network protocols based on the developed technologies of sharing of frequencies.
The technology of sharing of frequencies of a 5G will add and will improve technologies of sharing of a range License Assisted Access (LAA), LTE Wi-Fi Aggregation (LWA), CBRS/License Shared Access (LSA) and others.
