2018: Tests of a system for "the Union of MS-11"

According to the message of December 10, 2018 the set of the Aster-06 system created by specialists of Russian Space Systems holding is used as the additional telemetric equipment onboard the piloted Union of MS-11 spaceship started on December 3, 2018. During flight of the Aster ship passed flight tests, measuring rapidly changing parameters. After completion of tests and confirmation of characteristics this system of telemetry is going to be used on perspective products of the missile and space equipment.

"Aster" is most adaptive to requirements for formation of a telemetric frame (a packet of telemetric information), and the modular configuration provides to a system additional flexibility for installation on the existing and perspective means of removal. Such universality became possible thanks to a product assembly technique from modules (cells) depending on technical specifications.

Construction of Aster allows to set it onboard carrier rockets and other products of the missile and space equipment. Such unification will allow the Russian space industry to pass to serial production of the systems of telemetry that will increase their reliability and will reduce cost value.

Unlike the systems of the previous generation in Aster are applied specially created mathematical part and the computer system which process a part of information even before transfer to Earth. Information compression and spectrum analysis are carried out onboard the spacecraft that significantly reduces load of communication lines.

A system also had to work during start-up to the ISS of the piloted Union of MS-10 ship on October 11, 2018, but because of emergence of an emergency situation, automatic equipment stopped rise in two minutes after start and the Aster system was not involved.

2017: The first tests of a system

"Aster" already passed tests during the work onboard the carrier rocket. On November 28, 2017 a system successfully fulfilled during start-up of the carrier rocket "Union-2.1b" from the Vostochny spaceport.
