Announcing ROSA Enterprise Desktop X4 (Red X4)

On June 7, 2019, STC IT ROSA presented an updated version of the domestic commercial Linux distribution ROSA Enterprise Desktop - X4 (RED X4).

According to the company, the updated operating system has all the advantages of the products of the free ROSA Fresh line:

• Compatibility with a large number of hardware configurations
• Ease of installation and use even for unprepared users
• Extensive in-house repositories
• the presence of a constructive and friendly Russian community.

ROSA Enterprise Desktop X4 retained a recognizable appearance, but was seriously improved and updated: support for a wide range of hardware configurations and software technologies was added.

The OS is fully optimized for working in an enterprise environment and can be combined with other products developed by STC IT ROSA, including certified ones, which allows you to build an infrastructure of any complexity.

ROSA Enterprise Desktop X4 Features:

• Updated rosa-desktop core line based on ROSA and Ubuntu patches for better hardware support
• ROSA Audit Viewer - replenishment of a number of company ROSA utilities for corporate users;
• Two-factor login authentication to improve data security (optional)
• An updated wizard for connecting to the domain Windows to AEC that automatically populates most parameters

2015: ROSA Enterprise Desktop X2 Announcement

LLC STC IT ROSA introduced in May 2015 ROSA Enterprise Desktop X2 - a version of the operating system for the corporate sector.

The distribution includes application software, most of the typical tasks: a multifunctional office package, an Internet browser, programs for working with email, instant messaging, viewing and editing audio and video files and much more. The distribution is based on ROSA Desktop Fresh KDE, but provides additional stability guarantees - updates that are not fixes for vulnerabilities and critical errors fall into ROSA Enterprise Desktop X2 only after testing and "rolling" in ROSA Desktop Fresh.

• Support for machines with UEFI and Secure Boot.
• Working with GPT drives.
• Encrypting system partitions.
• Supports modern Ext4 (default) and Btrfs file systems.
