RS-Balance 3

The previous version of RS-Balance - an automated system of integrated management of the enterprise - appeared in 1994 and by 1998 the number of the clients who implemented a system at themselves at the enterprise exceeded the 1000th boundary. Pacing factors of success of sales of a software package are: flexibility of a system, relevance to the current legislation, convenience and transparency, ease of implementation, low cost value of ownership and also good analytical opportunities. In 2004 the new version of the RS-Balance 3 system intended for automation of the enterprises which are engaged in trade and distribution was published.


In relation to the Russian software market for business of 2011 became year of the systems of a class ERP and WMS, demand by which considerably grew. Also the RS-Balance 3 system which is focused on three key industries — wholesale and distribution, warehouse logistics and retail did not become an exception. On analysis results of financial performance, turnover R-Style Softlab in the field of automation of the enterprises in comparison with 2010 grew by 30%. For 2012: it is expected that revenue from sale of RS-Balance 3 and also from its implementation and maintenance will increase by 40% in comparison with 2011.


RS-Balance 3 represents modern Business Process Management Suite which is ideal for business at the enterprises of the different industries and scales. The full range of functionality for conducting managerial and financial accounting, accounting of the movement of goods and money, process management of sales and purchases, automation of warehouse and transport logistics, formation of the analytical reporting in different cuts — both on the enterprise in general, and for separate divisions enters it. Practice of implementation and use of RS-Balance 3 showed that functionally this solution is not inferior to the leading western and domestic ERP systems, and in something even exceeds them.

Purchase management:

1. Planning of delivery in a system is executed on the basis of requests from the buyer, internal requests of the enterprise, a status of a warehouse, accounting of safety stocks, the reserved goods and so forth. Parameters can extend the customer. A system allows to create delivery schedules.
2. Selection of optimal suppliers is executed by the set criteria: to delivery date, prices of suppliers and so forth. Parameters can extend the customer.
3. Management of payments regarding planning and control reshayutsyav to the RS-Balance 3 system based on means (mechanisms and applications) of the system of agreements and primary documents. A system allows to create payment schedules.
4. Order placement to suppliers is executed both in manual, and in the automatic mode taking into account diverse requests, existence of goods in a way and in other issued requests. Formation of documents can be started under control of a task scheduler at the scheduled time. The interrelation of orders of the suppliers and documents initiating this order is established (the request from the buyer, the internal order or other).

Inventory management:

1. Management of placement of goods in storage locations. A system allows to keep account by any quantity of warehouses and zones in a warehouse, at the same time each zone of a warehouse can be separated into any locations: the section, a cabinet, the shelf, a cell, etc., forms the card of a warehouse. For a nomenclature position dimensional and weight characteristics are set.
2. Separate accounting of own goods, the goods accepted and transferred to implementation, which are on safe custody, a returnable container and so forth.
3. Accounting of Inventories in any units of measure. At a design of delivery there is an opportunity to perform acceptance of goods in units of measure of the supplier, and to credit on a warehouse in the units of measure accepted in own accounting. Further, in the course of the movement of goods, it is possible to change accounting unit of measure. For example, to perform delivery in boxes, and to sell in pieces, etc.
4. Maintaining any characteristics of goods: size, color, form, etc. Keep number account, accounting of expiration dates, a SCD, the country of origin, etc.

  • Connection of the retail equipment the RS-Balance System contains the module of management of connection of the retail equipment in the structure that allows to organize work of retail stores, to consider and make payment of clients on cash payment using cash registers and fiscal registrars and also cashless payment by credit cards.

Management of retail:

The software package of automation of trade and distribution of RS-Balance 3 provides a full range of means for accomplishment of trade and cash operations. A design philosophy which is the cornerstone of RS-Balance allow to configure easily it on the most different configurations of technical and software tools, using at the same time advanced technologies of data processing.

Process control of sales of goods in a trading floor provides a special component as a part of RS-Balance3 - Trading floor, and allows to execute consolidation of all of the resources involved in its service in a common information space.

The functionality of the Trading floor allows:

  • execute standard transactions of cash desk: sale, return, cancellation, canceling of the check, collection, cash deposit of sums of money;
  • perform printout of checks in the fiscal mode and in the mode of the simple printing device;
  • create checks at acceptance of payment according to the written account (on the basis of the made order);
  • create checks in the mode of identification of goods using the price list;
  • perform opening and closing of change, to control its duration;
  • make unloading X-and Z-reports;
  • receive reports on results of work of a trading floor for the specified period (with the analysis of sales in value and quantitative term by objects and subjects of accounting);
  • service a line of cash desks and address both all network, and each specific POS terminal.

At the same time automatic loading is performed:

  • price lists;
  • the systems of discounts (including on discount cards);
  • the list of the serviced types of credit cards;
  • requests for receiving Z-and X-reports.

Within integration of Trading floor with other circuits of the RS-Balance complex it is provided:

  • acceptance and placement of goods in a trading floor;
  • write-off of goods (return on a warehouse) on the basis of defects detection and so forth;
  • inventory of a trading floor;
  • write-off of goods at its implementation.

RS-Balance 3 will provide end-to-end automation of sales process of goods, includes means of planning and control of sales, allows to solve problems of order management of buyers, supports different schemes of sales of goods - from a warehouse and under the order, credit sale or on prepayment, sales of goods, accepted on the commission, transfer on implementation to the commission agent, etc.

Customer relationship management:

  • Registration of information about the client the RS-Balance System supports accounting in the system of both one legal entity, and group of legal entities (Holding). All documents and reference books are stored in the single database. Thus, it is possible to receive selection according to documents for any time frame, to trace a sales history, orders, etc.
  • Conducting contractual accounting with separation of process of agreement performance into stages. Within a management system for contract activities the following problems are solved: 
  • Automation of process of drawing up, approval and signing of the contracts - provides a possibility of a documentary execution of the agreement. 
  • Agreement performance process automation - provides a possibility of planning of different transactions and control of their accomplishment at each stage taking into account terms of the contract.
  • The analysis and monitoring of agreement performance - provides a possibility of obtaining operational, accumulative and analytical data on a status and results of agreement performance for any time frame with data filtering on different cuts of information.
  • Planning of payments, purchases and sales and control of their actual execution. A possibility of creation of the payment schedule taking into account orders of buyers and supplier orders
  • Maintaining limits of cost characteristics, supply rates at execution of operations with the client.
  • Mechanisms of settlement will allow to consider and trace the amounts of settlement not only on accounts of buyers, but also Settlement between branches and divisions (domestic credits).

RS-Balance 3 will provide a full stroke of transactions of partner interaction from the moment of emergence of agreement obligations before their accomplishment.

Financial accounting:

RS-Balance 3 completely meets the requirements of modern accounting and tax accounting. In a system all again arrived changes of the legislative regulatory base quickly are implemented. In RS-Balance it is possible to configure any number of charts of accounts that allows to organize:

  • Accounting, tax, managerial and other types of accounting, including according to the IFRS standards

Additional information

Also in a system there is a built-in User guide - the system of the context-dependent help which can be caused from any place of the program. The integrated environment gives to the user the chance to interact with the complete database of documents. Besides the system of the electronic help includes the Administrator guide.

The client-server architecture of a complex allows to provide synchronization and data management of geographically distributed retail chain stores as online, and off-line without loss of speed and performance of service of buyers.

The Data exchange mechanism which is built in functionality having potential of setup of parameters of import and export allows to solve problems of integration into third-party software products.

System extenders

The software package RS-Balance 3 is delivered together with service tools - the Utility of the administrator and the Editor of metadata. The utility of the administrator serves for carrying out audit of all transactions made in a system, settings of differentiation of access rights appointment of users, setup of the menu.

Using the editor of metadata expansion of functionality of a complex, adding of descriptions of new types and methods of objects of a system for the purpose of their application in own developments is performed.

Scalability

The RS-Balance 3 system is easily scaled that means:

  • an opportunity to connect to one Data Base several application servers (including in process of growth of number of users of a system) what significantly reduces load of the application server at a large number of connections.
  • 10-30 jobs (which are at the same time addressing client applications) - 2 application servers. This parameter can decrease due to increase in technical characteristics of the computer of the application server.
  • 40-100 jobs (which are at the same time addressing client applications) - from 2nd to 4 application servers (depending on the capacity of the computer and intensity of work).
  • 100-200 jobs (which are at the same time addressing client applications) - from 5 to 7 application servers (depending on the capacity of the computer and intensity of work).

The RS-Balance 3 system allows to ensure functioning of territorially spaced divisions of the customer in different options of remote access On-line and Off-line. For the organization of geographically distributed information base standard means of replication of MS SQL Server DBMS are used.
