Ricoh Device Manager NX

Device Manager NX is a management system for the park of printing devices in the large companies.

On October 22, 2014 the Ricoh company announced new software solutions for the centralized monitoring and control of printing Device Manager NX Lite, Device Manager NX Enterprise and Device Manager NX Pro devices. All versions are intended for the large companies with an extensive network of branches and divisions where the number of the printing equipment contains several hundred or even thousands of printers and the MFP.

System management of printing in large corporations and the companies with a large number of territorial departments is usually not centralized: in different branches devices of different brands, models and types which are bought occasionally are installed. Such approach requires higher housekeeping overheads, additional efforts of IT specialists and besides poses potential security risk of corporate IT systems.

A system is provided by three versions of a product:

• Device Manager NX Lite is the free version of software, supports up to 250 corporate printers and the MFP.

• Device Manager NX Pro – manages 5 thousand devices.

• Device Manager NX Enterprise – works with an unlimited number of the printing equipment. The version of Device Manager NX Enterprise provides flexible management and with its help the central and local IT commands can set different roles, with the different access level to administration of the equipment.

Using the solutions Device Manager NX Lite, Device Manager NX Pro and Device Manager NX Enterprise IT administrators can manage on a centralized basis all printers and the MFP in the company, including the models of different brands and devices connected on USB. Specialists can control the capacity, functions and settings of access both separate devices, and groups of devices in different departments.

The built-in tools of the reporting Device Manager NX and condition monitoring of the 24/7 park allow corporations to use more rationally the printing equipment, it is better to control expenses on its service, to reduce the general energy consumption due to optimization of loading. The solution simplifies work of an IT command thanks to function of cloning of a configuration – it allows to configure new the equipment on the basis of already set parameters of devices.

The solutions Device Manager NX Lite, Device Manager NX Enterprise and Device Manager NX Pro will become available to the order in Russia at the beginning of November, 2014.
