Roambi ES

Roambi ES is the product developed by the American company Mellmo which earlier created the product WEB REPORTINGS for heads – Excelsius. RoamBi ES is the product focused on business users. It is intended for data view of traditional reports in extremely evident and attractive form.

Control of reports is exercised by means of Swipe and Drill-down technologies, i.e. management by means of gestures, similar to technology of Apple. The technology of navigation in the application on the mobile device allows to find easily the specific report, using selection by the form of visualization, to the folder of storage, the server of the reporting or under report title.

Thanks to the innovation form of providing the reporting, new opportunities of demonstration and information exchange appear. In the user's hands actually there is a tool not only for personal use, but also means of demonstration during the presentations and reports. In the presence in the report of data about responsible, the product allows to contact directly them, both by phone, and by e-mail. Exchange of reports between users of RoamBi, or exchange of screenshot'ami of reports on e-mail is possible.

Data for reports can get on the visualization server directly from the existing information systems and automatically be updated at their change on the server. The product allows to provide access to the server on the Internet and a local network. The built-in mechanisms of archiving and optimization of the size of report files allow to accomodate all corporate information in several megabyte that is especially relevant when updating through a cellular network. In addition to online of updating of reports the product allows to work with earlier loaded reports, irrespective of existence of Internet connection – in the machine, in the airplane and any other place where you can appear.

2016: SAP purchased Roambi

On February 20, 2016 the SAP SE company announced acquisition of MeLLmo company and its key^[1]and also plans to strengthen positions of the supplier of cloud solutions by means of the innovation opportunities of forecasting and a mobile business intelligence, developed on the SAP HANA platform.

Together with the added functions users will receive consumer interfaces, performance level of corporate systems. With acquisition of a solution package of Roambi and the related key assets, SAP intends to provide mobile access to analytical tools to everyone.

Roambi Analytics ES4

Roambi Analytics ES4 changes idea of work with corporate information and helps often traveling employees to make the weighed decisions at any time, in any place. Thanks to simple and to the intuitive interface, three-level protection and integration with all main BI systems, Roambi Analytics ES4 presents analytics in the evident and attractive form which is specially developed for iPhone and iPad it was said in the statement of MeLLmo.

Roambi Analytics is intended for the analysis of relevant business information and data obtained from any, used in the company BI- systems, including solutions of the companies SAP IBM, Microsoft and Oracle and also from other data sources (OLAP-cubes Salesforce CRM Excel , etc.). Thanks to direct integration into the specific Roambi Analytics ES4 system inherits the existing protocols of security and allows employees to obtain the detailed information necessary for them for adoption of the weighed solutions, and on the run to hold the improvised presentations, claim in MeLLmo.

Roambi Analytics is the server application which can be used both in online, and in offline modes at any time, in any place. Data views of Roambi Analytics allow managers of different level to have always near at hand all necessary for them at the right time information in an intuitive type. Three-level protection of Roambi ES4 includes: the inherited security (distribution of access rights by objects and lines and also by user groups according to policy of corporate security, plus integration with a management system for access rights to corporate resources), protection of Roambi (an opportunity to remotely delete reports of Roambi, to withdraw files of Roambi and to protect the Roambi PIN codes data access) and protection at the level of end devices (the VPN organization, hardware encryption, access control to the device and complete/partial removal of data).

Among new opportunities of upgraded version of Roambi ES4 it is also possible to note: Roambi Layers is the new type of data view of Roambi Analytics allowing to build hierarchies of data and with ease to carry out the detailed data analysis at all levels; Roambi Flow is the innovation business application which allows to create easily analytical materials, generating the intuitive and generalizing all necessary information business reports and the presentations which are available to the analysis on iPad and PC (it is already included in the editor of Roambi ES4).

At the same time, with an exit of upgraded version of the company can change appearance of representations, using the logo, creating color subjects and covers for reports on mobile devices according to brendbuky the organizations.

Roambi ES3

The SAS company and MeLLmo company, the creator of the popular business application of Roambi for interactive mobile devices, announced in April, 2011 the global partnership and the beginning of joint work. The purpose – to provide for managers of an average and the top management an opportunity irrespective of their location to make the scratchpad decisions based on analytical data.

Within this partnership the product Roambi ES3 will be integrated with a packet of the SAS Enterprise BI Server analytical applications. It will allow heads of different level to receive a visual image and access in an interactive mode to crucially important analytical applications of SAS using mobile devices, and both in online, and in a standalone mode.

Using advantages of solutions of SAS and Roambi, heads can cardinally change style of the work – from office to mobile. For example, the director of supply chain management can appear in way when it obtains important information on sudden surge in demand for that part of products of the plant which is usually poorly demanded. Now it has an opportunity to instantly obtain inventory data on this product from a warehouse and to initiate the actions necessary for operational satisfaction of demand.

In Russia there are already examples of similar implementations. For example, data from the JSC "Russian Railways" corporate information storage (CIS) constructed on the basis of solutions of SAS company are available on iPad and iPhone. The project was submitted personally to the president of JSC "Russian Railways" Vladimir Yakunin at the XV International conference "Information Technologies on Railway Transport" (Infotrans-2010) which took place in November, 2010.

For 2011 developed for mobile devices, Roambi ES is the 3-level application. The product consists of 3 parts connected among themselves:

• Server part (integration with storage systems and ensuring access to reports),
• The application for the publication of the report and setup of visualization (Publisher)
• The application client for mobile devices.

Roambi ES allows to get access to the existing reports and data from the corporate BI server from a broad spectrum of applications sources: Excel, Salesforce.com, SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence, SAP Business Objects Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services, IBM Cognos, SAS and others. Also there is an ability to integrate Roambi with cubes of data of Oracle Essbase and Microsoft Analysis Services that in turn provides a possibility of implementation of the mobile OLAP analysis of corporate data. Roambi Enterprise Server uses API of each application for implementation of communication, security, integrity, access to reports and data-refresh. Such approach provides optimal integration with all supported BI systems.

Roambi Views is the dynamic templates of analytical panels (dashboard'ov) created for the mobile platform IOS and gestures and manipulations, using everything characteristic of products of Apple. Each type of representation of Roambi Views has the features and opportunities that gives to users of Roambi the tool for carrying out more flexible analysis depending on the business challenges.

There are following types of representations of Roambi Views:

• SuperList – displays data in the form of tables;
• CataList – displays data in the form of directories;
• Cardex – displays data in the form of a card file;
• Pie – displays data in the form of the pie chart;
• Trend – reflects data in the form of the dynamic time diagram;
• Element is a summary analytical panel of data;
• Blink – allows to carry out multidimensional data analysis (mini-cubes).

SuperList - displays information of any type in the form of the flat table. On the set key of the table there is a fixing of the corresponding column in the left part of the screen, and other columns remain glanced over. At will the user can browse data of separate columns in a schedule type, for visual comparison of values.

CataList

Such type of representation gives the chance to visualize data by means of microdiagrams in a layered design, with a possibility of the general comparison of objects on indicators and also detailing of objects. And also allows to integrate a set of reports in one summary report and to analyze a set of indicators on a large number of objects.

• Submits the object list, the indicators compared on some set;
• Visualization of indicators by means of charts and diagrams of different types;
• At "fall" in objects of the bottom level can provide expanded information on an object (in adding to the compared indicators of micro diagrams);
• Supports different types of visualization both at the level of an object, and at the top level of micro diagrams;

Is suitable for the solution of the following tasks:

• Consolidation of a set of reports in one summary report;
• The analysis of a set of indicators on a large number of objects.

Cardex

Data view in the form of a card file where cards are grouped in some sign, models an object hierarchy. Each card provides information on an object which is visualized by standard means of Roambi – diagrams, segments, in a tabular style, column charts, etc. There is an opportunity to select the interesting cards on "a table of the analysis" and to compare up to 4 cards on any indicator. If to select one of cards, the program will begin to accept it for "compared", displaying on the others deviations concerning the selected card. Gives to the user following features:

• A set of indicators and methods of visualization are uniform for all objects;
• At fall in objects of the bottom level can provide expanded information on an object;
• Supports different types of visualization, both at the level of an object, and at the top level of micro diagrams.

Pie

Performs comparison of objects on required indicators using the pie chart. Gives to the user following features:

• Transition from an indicator to an indicator is performed about use of technology of scrolling;
• When comparing each object takes a chart segment form which size depends on a deposit of an indicator of an object to total amount on an indicator;
• If objects more than 10, then 9 of them are displayed as chart segments, and the others get to an Others segment from where a required object can be selected from the list;
• There is a possibility of fall in an object at which all information on an object will be provided.

• Analysis of structure;
• Receiving a detailed information after the express analysis of structure.

Trends

Gives an opportunity of the analysis of objects on certain indicators, for the purpose of planning and identification of trends on the basis of the historical data showing change of indicators for consecutive time frames – daily, weekly, monthly, etc., information.

Offers the user following features:

• Fast transition from one time scale to another without need to leave the report;
• The report automatically outputs the following information on indicators before opening of the separate diagram:
  • Value of value for date
  • Absolute change to the previous timepoint
  • Relative change by the previous moment
  • Unit of measure

• Fast change of date for an output of values on all indicators.

• Job analysis of division on dynamics of key indicators;
• The express comparison of dynamics of the same indicators in many divisions;
• Obtaining operational data in the form of convenient for perception of a large number of data.

Elements

The type of representation of Roambi allowing to group the most important indicators in uniform area of the analysis in an evident graphic type and providing instant access to the necessary consolidated information that significantly saves time of acceptance of management decisions.
