2023: Cameras tests begin

Holding "Roselectronics" State Corporation Rostec has begun testing miniature cameras for technical vision, capable of continuously working more than 10 thousand hours. They can replace foreign analogues in robotic complexes, video monitoring systems, scanning and control of production processes. Based on these cameras, the developer plans to create his own vision system using neural networks. Rostec announced this on November 23, 2023.

The development of the camera was carried out by NPP Pulsar, part of Roselectronics. The key feature of the novelty is the silicon matrix photodetector created by the company's specialists, which is responsible for image formation. The use of a domestic electronic component base allows you to abandon foreign suppliers when servicing equipment.

The camera is low in power consumption and light in weight - only 500 grams. It integrates into the customer's existing system through the interface he needs and allows you to record streaming video at a resolution of 1280x1024 pixels to the server.

The cameras are being tested for November 2023. Based on their results, a decision will be made to launch serial production of equipment that can replace imported analogues. Such cameras are in demand, for example, in robotics or on automated production lines of industrial enterprises, where it is necessary to carry out constant control of technological processes.

The use of a domestic electronic component base in Pulsar cameras will allow rapid maintenance and replacement of existing machine vision systems. In addition, it will be possible to use such systems in industries where the use of foreign equipment is prohibited. Based on the camera, we plan to create our own vision system using neural network technology. It will allow you to simultaneously control up to 30 parameters of the production process, - said Sergei Borovoy, General Director of NPP Pulsar.
