On March 18, 2020 the Rostec company announced that "The concern Radio-electronic technologies" will be engaged in creation of a complex of an aircraft equipment for aircrafts easier than air. Also specialists intend to develop the scheme of equipment of airships of the next generation small drones. Project implementation will allow to involve devices in tourism, nature protection monitoring and protection of objects.

According to the company, in plans of concern – development of the unified complex of the aircraft equipment including a remote management system, an auto pilot and the systems of navigation. Besides, specialists will develop the project of application of aerostats as carriers of small unmanned aerial vehicles.

The test research at specially developed stand of digital modeling will become the first stage of creation of a complex of an aircraft equipment. It reproduces flight in real time in the manual and automatic modes and also can imitate failures of an aircraft equipment. It will allow to monitor influence of malfunctions on behavior of the airship in air and to correct equipment operation algorithms. Digital modeling will accelerate process of creation of the onboard systems and will reduce the number of necessary tests.

For March, 2020 demand for similar devices grows around the world, first of all, they are demanded in tourism and ecomonitoring. Besides, they can effectively be used to cargo transportation. If to equip airships with small drones, it will allow to apply them to protection of objects, providing a radio communication, the operational organization of Internet access or to special purpose networks. For March, 2020 the concern already created an onboard complex for the AU-30 airship thanks to which it had an opportunity of the managed vertical take-off and also capability to make long flights on route at any time in the pilotless mode.
