2020: Representation of the Gonchak radio tracker

The Ruselectronics holding of State Corporation Rostec developed the system of group communication for rescuers, athletes, hunters and tourists. Rostec reported about it on October 9, 2020. The solution is based on radio trackers and allows to make calls and to define a geoposition via the smartphone at total absence of cellular communication. A system provides high-quality signal transmission at long distances: up to 20 km from the device to the device on the open area and up to 5 km in the dense forest.

The Gonchak radio tracker is the compact device including the transceiver equipped GLONASSGPS with modules Bluetooth. Gadgets are synchronized with tablets or smartphones of users through mobile application and give the chance to members of the group voice to communicate without use of networks of mobile operators and also to see each other geoposition on the mobile devices, to save the passable routes and basic points on the loaded card.

The Gonchaka transceiver at the same time is a repeater. Thus, these geopositions and voice messages can be transferred in group of subscribers on a chain from the tracker to the tracker to tens of kilometers. The big range is provided due to deep mathematical data processing, transferred in a radio channel. Thanks to the high-capacity accumulator, the radio tracker is capable to work continuously within a day.

The Gonchak system is a universal platform. The used solutions will allow to change characteristics depending on requirements of customers and to adapt the equipment to work on available radio frequencies. Radio trackers can be used during the rescue operations, exploration works in the remote areas and also will help tourists and hunters not to be lost with a campaign. Serial product output is planned for 2021, – the industrial director of a radio-electronic complex of State Corporation Rostec Sergey Sakhnenko said.

For October, 2020 radio trackers are tested by hunters. Experience of use will be considered in actual practice at completion of devices before start of serial production.

As a part of Ruselectronics conducts development of the system of Gonchak scientific research institute of communication systems and management (enters into Sozvezdiye Concern). For October, 2020 pass tests of the equipment.
