2019: Start of delivery service of goods from online stores
On October 11, 2019 the Russian Post announced start of product service for Internet trade.
The rate will work in the largest cities of Russia and will provide the goods delivery from online stores, in addition to post offices, in points of issue and a pochtomata. Within several months the quantity of points of obtaining orders is going to be brought to 7,500 pieces.
This product service is developed especially for the companies of e-commerce. The rate provides delivery to buyers of departures up to 15 kg in departments of Russian Post and also in partner points of issue of orders and a pochtomata, thus doing receiving sending by the most convenient for the consumer. It is a modern format of delivery by shipment at own expense with the prolonged operation mode of points. The format is especially popular in megalopolises and the large cities of which about 70% of the market of electronic trading are the share.
For October, 2019 the buyer can take away the order in 2000 points of issue, including more than 1000 pochtomat. At the beginning of 2020 the network of pickup locations will consist of 7500 points in the largest cities of Russia.
Within service the profitable intracity rate – 95 rub works, and the minimum payment for the announced value among all product line of Russian Post for Internet retail is collected. The reduced storage life of sending up to 7 working days stimulates the consumer quicker to receive the order, and special options, such as check of completeness and return of goods, level barriers upon remote purchase.
