2023: Creating VR gloves with power tactile recoil
The Russian company "X Red Group" in the framework of the project of the domestic VR ecosystem "Rustim" created virtual reality gloves with power tactile feedback. The press service of the SEZ "Dubna" (the startup is its resident) announced this at the end of June 2023.
According to the developers, the new device allows the user to feel the shape and hardness of objects, significantly increases the level of perception of the simulation and gives completely new sensations that are not available with classical methods of interaction.
As the technical director of X Red Group LLC Artem Znobishchev noted, by June 2023 such VR equipment is expensive, and there are difficulties with its acquisition, so such products are not available to ordinary users. Knowing about this problem, the company is working to make these technologies accessible and convenient for a larger circle of people interested in this area, Znobishchev added.
Virtual simulations, barely distinguishable from the real world, are increasingly entrenched in business, PwC analysts said. Researchers predict that by 2030 AR and VR will be used for 23.5 million jobs: for trainings, remote meetings, customer support, etc.
Also, X Red Group by the end of June 2023 continues to develop and promote its main product - a unified VR simulator of surgical operations. Over the past six months, specialists have significantly improved the visual component of the simulator module, increased the accuracy of simulations, the company said at the end of June 2023. By this time, work is underway to adjust the multiplayer mode, which will allow Russian doctors to conduct distance learning for students of medical universities from any regions of Russia. Thanks to the new capabilities of the VR simulator, the resident of the Dubna SEZ plans to increase sales of the sought-after innovative product, the press service of the Dubna SEZ said[1]
