S7 Airlines: Mobile registrar

S7 Airlines at the beginning of January, 2018 offered the service for passengers allowing to accelerate and simplify process of registration and acquisition of additional services at the airport.

At Domodedovo Airport and Tolmachevo in the check-in area on own runs of S7 Airlines the additional staff of airline works with the special equipment "Mobile Registrar" which allows to make registration of the passenger for run, to issue additional services, having accepted payment, having issued the electronic receipt and having issued the check and also to print the boarding pass. Since October, 2017 when testing of service began, more than 10 thousand passengers of S7 Airlines managed to estimate its convenience.

Results of the first months of work of additional employees at the airports allow to speak about high efficiency of this solution. Thanks to it we managed to increase the speed of registration for run that, certainly, gets a positive response from passengers. Daily only at the Moscow Domodedovo Airport on average 250 passengers use this service — noted Svetlana Kulyukina, the director of the department of passenger experience of S7 Group.

Mobile application on smartphones of staff of S7 Airlines is developed using modern mobile technologies. In particular, its functionality allows to recognize QR codes and barcodes on boarding passes. Besides, employees are provided with the fiscal mobile printer and the card reader for carrying out cashless payment.

Thus, if the passenger travels without baggage, he can quickly check in for the flight, pay necessary services, for example, increase in a class of service onboard, and receive the boarding pass, having saved waiting time in queue on front desks. At the same time, the passengers who in advance underwent online registration for run should not worry about independent printout of the boarding pass.
