2020: Application launch for acquaintances between the staff of SAP

In the middle of August, 2020 it became known that the German software maker of SAP developed and started the application similar to Tinder in the companies. The new solution is intended for lonely employees who execute job responsibilities in the remote mode.

The new application allows the staff of SAP to browse questionnaires of colleagues and to plan with them meetings in virtual space. The staff of SAP explained that in the conditions of the isolation caused by COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, many employees lack communication. So, there was an idea about creation of service for acquaintances which allows to return the atmosphere, traditional for offices.

In SAP the application for acquaintances between employees is started

One of the former CEO of SAP Jennifer Morgan explained that at transfer of the employees living in 180 countries to remote work, one of the biggest and unexpected problems was in helping workers who live in loneliness, to feel safe and save at them feeling of belonging to collective.

The analog of Tinder using which the staff of SAP can find to themselves the interlocutor and goes with it to "a virtual lunch", is available only in Germany. Nevertheless, the company offered workers from other countries many other interesting initiatives.

For example, workers willingly participate in such actions as joint watching movies, competitions in video games, wine tasting and even a virtual barbecue. The last action was attended by about 1700 employees.
