2015: Announcement of SAP Cloud for Analytics

On October 13, 2015 SAP announced entry into the market of a cloud business intelligence (Business Intelligence, BI). The German company presented the SAP solution Cloud for Analytics which in its product portfolio is the first corporate software intended for data analysis and completely constructed on the SaaS model.

Initially innovation was a component of a cloud platform SAP HANA, and since  October, 2015 it became completely autonomous system of a business intelligence capable to be integrated with other applications of vendor. SAP Cloud for Analytics is capable to work as with local data, and writes with information which is stored in cloud storages the CRN edition with reference to Nic Smith, the senior director on marketing of analytical tools of the company.

SAP provided the first the corporate software, intended for data analysis and completely constructed on the SaaS model

"This absolutely new solution SaaS thanks to which we expect to review technologies of analytics. It is constructed on the user experience and will allow to create new analytical applications" — Smith said.

To the announcement of Cloud for Analytics the SAP company was rather large player in the market of platforms of a business intelligence thanks to acquisition of Business Objects company in 2008 and also to own means of visualization and a research of data Lumira. These products, by words Nik Smita, will still be used at the local level and in the private cloud systems.

The SAP solution Cloud for Planning was a part of SAP Cloud for Analytics, and until the end of 2015 the new product will include means of predictive analytics. At the beginning of 2016 adding of SAP applications of GRC is also planned. Thus, finally SAP Cloud for Analytics will become the multifunction completely cloud product consisting of technologies of a business intelligence, planning, budgeting and forecasting.

By the beginning 2016 SAP is going to connect third-party cloud services to Cloud for Analytics and to begin cooperation with system integrators which will implement a new product at the enterprises.^[1]
