Strategic Enterprise Management represents an integrated environment for support of effective management of strategic development of the company and acceptance of timely objective management decisions. SAP SEM can work as independently, at the expense of the functions of a business information warehouse of SAP BW (Business Information Warehouse) included in it, and together with the ERP system of the enterprise. Use of this software product is especially effective at automation of a management activity in the companies with complex structure and the holdings operating in conditions of competitive market.

The SAP solution SEM is from five applied software products which functionality completely covers all processes necessary for strategic enterprise management:

- Monitor of efficiency of corporation (SEM-CPM)

Planning and modeling of business
The solution SEM-BPS represents the schedule system satisfying to all requirements of the modern company. In the solution the tools supporting different methods of modeling including planning modeling, dynamic modeling are put. Use of SEM-BPS allows the company to perform effectively planning of all activity, including strategic, to develop different planning scenarios, to coordinate planning process between all participants of business process and also to apply in the work the concept of process-based management to decision support.
Monitor of efficiency of corporation
The solution SEM-CPM is intended for performance management of the enterprise on the basis of the balanced scorecard (Balanced Scorecard) and a multidimensional analysis system and the reporting built according to requirements of management of the company. Use of opportunities of SEM-CPM allows management of the company to trace the relevant level of achievement of key performance indicators, to carry out the deep analysis of operational and strategic activity of the enterprise and also to create the multidimensional reports allowing quickly and on the basis of reliable data to make the weighed management decisions.
Business consolidation
Formation of the consolidated internal and external reporting using the solution for business consolidation of SEM-BCS allows the company quickly and to effectively consolidate information on all branches of the company and the enterprises of holding. At the same time the solution has necessary functionality for reporting according to international standards and also transformation of the Russian accounting records in the IFRS standards. Also SEM-BCS allows to build consolidation processes in the company and/or group, supporting necessary parameters of consolidation, such as: exception of intra group turnovers, exception of intermediate results, recalculation of currencies, etc.
Collecting of business information
The effective instrument of support of process of strategic management is the solution SEM-BIC which allows to perform collecting of management information from different corporate systems. Thanks to this functionality external and internal data accurately are structured and become suitable for the further analysis.
Management of the relations with participants of business
Management of the relations with participants of business (shareholders) as whom both shareholders, and employees, and clients of the company can act can be supported effectively using the solution SEM-SRM. The solution allows to build groups of influence, to make assessment of expectations and possible compromises between interested persons, to maintain reporting system for different groups of participants of business and also to manage in a complex all communications necessary for support of effective relationship.
