SAP StreamWork

Since launch of SAP StreamWork and ensuring ampler opportunities in terms of security and integration into versions of the product Enterprise Edition, this application it is already widely used worldwide. New integration opportunities expand the initial potential, thereby all categories of users even more — employees, clients, partners and suppliers — have a favorable opportunity for safe cooperation at accomplishment of the work. For the staff of IT departments of SAP StreamWork is a safe solution for public work which allows further standardization in the companies taking into account the difficult landscape including a set of applications. This solution also allows to avoid management of several solutions for joint work in which different technologies and possibilities of security are used.

SAP company and its partners already implemented integration with SAP StreamWork, additional abilities to integrate are in development process. SAP StreamWork is easily integrated with SAP applications using the consultant, the partner of SAP or forces of own IT department of the client.

The corporate release of SAP StreamWork provides integration with several SAP applications, including SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) — the social CRM-application allowing heads of sales departments to coordinate work of separate groups, such as groups of sales, customer service, consultants and others for quicker implementation of sales opportunities. The staff of sales departments can also directly interact with the clients to guarantee timely delivery of products and services and to promote the satisfaction of the stated requirements.

SAP application of Product Lifecycle Management (SAP PLM), helping to study the ideological party of products for an output to the market of the innovation, differentiated products and services and also SAP application of BusinessObjects Strategy Management which increases efficiency of the companies, dynamism and awareness of risks due to cooperation and determination of the key production indicators (KPI) on the scale of the organization belongs to other applications providing integration with SAP StreamWork. Besides, SAP plans integration of SAP StreamWork into the platform now SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) that will allow clients to be engaged jointly in a business intelligence in the organizations, providing to users freedom of modeling and data analysis and also a possibility of fast acceptance of reasoned decisions within the group.

February 1, 2011 – Having taken wishes of users into account, the SAP AG company improved the SAP application of StreamWork, having integrated it with Google Docs. Now the solution for simultaneous operation with documents and collective decision making became even more convenient, fast and intuitive.

Thanks to integration into Google Apps Marketplace which SAP announced in December, 2010 users of the application of SAP StreamWork will be able to create, edit and use jointly the Google Docs files (documents, spreadsheets, the presentations, etc.) directly in SAP StreamWork. In process of making changes in Google Docs documents will be updated in StreamWork SAP application.

SAP StreamWork developers collected responses from users of this application and as a result entered to it the improvements which are most demanded by users:

• An opportunity to quickly find experts and to contact employees in the company – the new People button in an upper part of a window of SAP. StreamWork helps to look for people in network and to contact those who can share the ideas and information or in a different way to increase the value of the project or decision making process.
• Creation of different document revisions with support of all types of files. Now project teams will be able to avoid confusion because of work with different document revisions, and the contribution of each employee will be fixed and be traced.
• Work sheets – users will be able to organize work in groups and to add specific action to work sheets.
• The on-line filter – function of quick search of actions on a key word is added.
