Enhanced platform functionality

SL Soft (Softline Group of Companies) has expanded the functionality of the SOICA OCR platform - the ability to recognize handwritten text has been added. This simplifies the processing of a number of documents: passports, military tickets and other identity documents, as well as applications, forms, protocols, certificates, questionnaires and other materials that fully or partially contain handwritten text. The developer announced this on March 27, 2024.

The recognition accuracy is in the range of 80-95% and directly depends on the legibility of the handwriting and the quality of the scan or photocopy. To work with complex documents from a specific subject area, historical archives or materials in other languages ​ ​ (by default, the system provides recognition in Russian and English), it is possible to further study the system for a specific customer on the provided data.

Integration with 1C: Document Flow

Using these solutions together allows you to quickly perform routine, time-consuming operations to process electronic and digitized documentation.

As of February 2024, there are two modes of operation of the connector. In automatic, documents immediately fall into SOICA (received via REST API, e-mail or taken from local and network folders), in manual, users download documents from the 1C: Document Flow interface to it. Next, SOICA processes files: eliminates noise, distortions, adjusts brightness and contrast, etc., for optimal image quality. The next step - SOICA classifies documents (if necessary, divides a single received file into separate documents) and extracts information that is transmitted to 1C: Document Flow to automatically fill out registration cards.

2022: As part of the solution to expand the ability of EDMS to load and process arrays of paper documents
