2020: The announcement of Samsung BiometryAssist - technology for fast and precise measurement of a fruit of pregnant women

In September, 2020 Samsung Medison also Intel announced the updated BiometryAssist technology intended for measurement of a fruit of pregnant women within ultrasonic inspections. Development uses possibilities Intel Core of the i3 processor and the Intel Distribution of OpenVINO and OpenCV tool kits thanks to what it is provided automatic measurement and assessment of the sizes of a fruit with an accuracy of 97% only over 85 milliseconds. Such speed of work allows the doctor to accept the bigger number of patients and to find more time for communication with them, developers note.

Samsung works on increase in efficiency of new diagnostic features of the medical equipment, and the Intel Distribution of OpenVINO and OpenCV tool kits promote achievement of these purposes — the corporate vice president and the head of strategic group (Product Strategy Team) in Samsung Medison Won-Chul Bang said.

Samsung Medison and Intel was announced LaborAssist technology which helps to estimate provision of a body and child's head that the doctor could control the movement of a fruit at the time of delivery. Exact information on the course of childbirth in real time helps doctors to define the best method of a rodorazresheniye and allows to reduce the number of transactions by method of Cesarean section.

According to specialists of Perinatal Institute, showed that control of development of a fruit is important when conducting pregnancy and can help to prevent pre-natal death of the child if doctors manage to distinguish deviations in time.

Intel and Samsung Medison intend to continue cooperation in the field of ultrasonography to increase the speed of work of artificial intelligence and to apply advanced technologies in developments of Samsung Medison, such as Nerve Tracking, SW Beamforming and AI Module.[1]
