2020: Announcement

In the middle of January, 2020 Samsung provided packaging for TVs from which it is possible to collect a bedside table, a table and other furniture. This solution designed to give new life to usual things allows to lead more eco-friendly life and to adhere to the principle of reasonable consumption, the South Korean producer states.

New packaging for the first time began to be used in interior The Serif TVs. Assembly instructions of a bedside table, a support to a cat or other furniture are available to magazines, a lodge by the QR code on lateral face of a box. Using them the user needs to connect the points printed on cardboard a pencil, to cut the turned-out parts and to collect a new subject of an interior.

According to developers, thanks to a simple algorithm of actions on creation of an accessory no more than 30-40 minutes will leave. Packaging of Eco-Package is ecologically safe and is suitable for recycling.

According to researches of the Environmental Protection Agency of the USA  (AOOS of the USA), about 95% of the made cardboard boxes are thrown out right after single use. It means that every year about 90 billion cardboard appear on a dump. Eco-Package was created as an eco-friendly alternative for the purpose of reduction of waste and reduction of negative  impact on  the environment.

Since the beginning of 2020 Samsung  applies to release of packagings and booklets only fiber materials certified by the international nature protection organizations, such as  Forest board of trustees  (Forest Stewardship Council, FSC),  Program of approval of forest certification  (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) and  Initiative of steady forest exploitation (Sustainable Forestry Initiative).[1]
