Sand Linux is the operating system with planning in real time (OSRV), based on GNU/Linux OS. Sand Linux offers a number of planning methods in real time. In addition to the standard tasks which are located in queue of the scheduler of the operating system, the core offers also not planned execution units: tasklets, timers, ASR and blocks of queues, and use of LXRT technology provides the improved mobility, the best integration of system calls, simple transition between tough and soft real time. The full support of POSIX 1003.1c, including flows, real-time extension with mutexes and condition variables is implemented by a system.
History
- 2003-2005 The staff of Faculty of information systems and technologies (FIST) of ULGTU based on the free software develop a distribution kit of hard real-time operating system (OSRV) of Sand Linux for the onboard systems and successfully implemented in project activity of JSC Ulyanovsk Design Office of Instrument Making (UDOIM).
- 2005 The Cyber Systems Development company based on Sand Linux creates the software Universal development environment for the built-in SandLIX systems.
- 2005 The presentation of Sand Linux at the LinuxWorld exhibition (Softool, Moscow)
- 2007 SandLIX presentation on the All-Russian salon of innovations (Kazan, 2007)
- 2007 SandLIX award with a bronze medal on the World salon of inventions (Geneva, 2007)
- 2008 Implementation of SandLinux in payment systems of Direkt-24 company
