Russian telephone node is a software VoIP platform for organizing fully functional local, zone, MH/MH communication nodes based on IP technology in accordance with the current legislation.

The solution is certified for use as a service node that implements the switching and control functions of communication services using the application subsystems of the signaling system via SSS No. 7 in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Information and Communications of Russia (registration number of the OS-3-IS-0004 certificate).

According to this certificate, RTU can be used as a platform for providing services by a telecom operator in a network built on the basis of any software switches (softswiches), with fixed or mobile access technology, as well as in converged networks.

Also, the solution fully complies with the SORM requirements for mobile and fixed networks, service provider networks.

VoIP RTU platform can be used as:

  • A fully functional 4/5 class switch
  • platforms for providing services (AS) together with a software switch of another manufacturer in a mobile, fixed or converged network;
  • SaaS services platforms.

The RTU platform can be used in two ways: as a pure service platform, or Application Server in the terminology of the IMS architecture, or as a full-fledged telephony node for providing a basic call service over an IP network, plus additional services. At the same time, interfaces allow you to integrate it with both fixed and mobile networks and switches. As a result, the platform is the basis for convergence of mobile, fixed and IP communication networks at the switching level, service provision and billing. The second important point is that the RTU is a fully modular product. Thanks to different module configurations, you can get completely different solutions. Any monolithic solution over time is overgrown with excessive functionality, which negatively affects the quality of work and resource intensity in general. A solution consisting of individual components is more flexible. For example, a solution company can place RTU components on different servers and, if necessary, distribute them geographically.
