2025: Production Launch
The first robot in Russia for demining using laser technologies has been put into mass production by the Schwabe holding, which is part of the Rostec state corporation. The complex is designed for remote neutralization of explosive objects in the field and developed using domestic components. The presentation of the robotic system took place on June 24, 2025.
According to the press service of Rostec, the controlled robot is made on a tracked platform and is equipped with a compact laser installation. The device is designed for remote neutralization of unexploded ordnance, anti-personnel mines and improvised explosive devices.
A powerful source of laser radiation allows you to neutralize ammunition, including samples with non-contact detonation sensors. The principle of operation is based on burning the shell of the ammunition and melting explosive without detonation.
The range of the robot is from tens to hundreds of meters when working with explosive objects. The range of control of the complex reaches several kilometers, which guarantees the complete safety of the operator during mine clearance.
The robotic platform is driven by an electric engine that allows you to reach speeds of up to 25 kilometers per hour. Power supply is provided from storage batteries, which makes the complex autonomous in the field.
The robot is controlled remotely via a radio channel or fiber optic communication. The technical equipment includes a fiber laser with high beam quality, a thermal imaging camera and a high-resolution aiming system.
Vadim Kalyugin, General Director of Shvabe, member of the Bureau of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, noted that the holding pays great attention to the creation of applied laser systems. The company's specialists regularly develop high-tech products using advanced scientific achievements.[1]
