2024: Product Announcement

On November 28, 2024, Sibur announced the creation of a specialized technological modeling marketplace. The goal of the initiative is to deploy an open SaaS platform (software as a service) that provides opportunities for the exchange of projects and models.

Alisa Melnikova, director of digital and information technologies at Sibur, spoke about the new marketplace. The development of the solution is carried out within the framework of a large-scale project to create domestic software for technological modeling, implemented on the basis of industrial competence centers. At the first stage, the platform will include design models of equipment and the necessary algorithms, after which additional functionality will be added. At the same time, project participants and new partners will be able to independently expand the register of modeling equipment, creating new components on the platform.

It is expected that the initiative being implemented will contribute to import substitution in the field of industrial software. IT companies involved in creating models will be able to expand their client base with new platform users. This approach combines the efforts of many industry participants to solve complex production problems while providing flexibility and freedom of choice for the functionality used. Engineering companies that use models to design new plants can also connect to the project. In addition, universities will be able to use the platform - for training and research.

Our goal is to create a solution that will replace foreign counterparts and set new standards for the industry, opening up new horizons for cooperation and efficiency improvement in a large number of Russian industrial companies at once, says Melnikova.[1]
