2023: Pre-Broadcast Content Preparation Service Development

Synterra Media has developed a pre-broadcast content preparation service. The solution allows the media, TV channels and VoD platforms to optimize business processes and comply with legislative norms, for example, the recently updated law banning LGBT propaganda in Russia. The developer announced this on August 29, 2023.

Pre-broadcast content preparation allows you to optimize the cost of finding and maintaining specialists with appropriate qualifications, as well as the purchase of software and equipment.

The key element of the service is editorial examination of the material to identify scenes that do not comply with the legislation of the Russian Federation. There are already regulations governing the maximum level of advertising volume, age marking of content, warning about smoking scenes. In December 2022, an updated law was adopted banning LGBT propaganda in Russia, non-compliance with which can lead to consequences - from a significant fine to the revocation of the license.

Guaranteed enforcement of all legislative rules is a labor-intensive process that requires the allocation of highly qualified specialists with experience on federal television channels on the staff of the company. Not all TV channels and audiovisual services have specialists of this level of qualification. In addition, such work increases costs by requiring the purchase of software for video editing and technical support of equipment (workstations).

The pre-broadcast content preparation service has additional features: editing scenes on video editing, blurring individual objects in the frame, removing swear and obscene language, superimposing logos and watermarks on the image, adding other (not original) audio tracks and subtitles. The service from Sinterra Media is already used by a number of large media companies.
