2023: Creation of Interface Board for Marine Equipment
The developer of knowledge-intensive and marine solutions, which is part of the Sitronics Group, has created a domestic interface board, as well as the hull of the marine environment complex module for ships designed to monitor the state of waterways. Sitronics Group announced this on July 4, 2023.
Specialists of the Department of Cartography and Hydrography Sitronics KT have developed a part and hull for ship equipment, acting as an alternative to imported components. The IT company specializes in the creation of equipment for navigation, including coastal and cartographic. One of the key tasks facing the company today is the development and creation of its own equipment from domestic components, parts and elements.
Thus, the developers created a building for the navigation module, which is an integral part of two complexes at once - the marine environment (SOK) and the automated measurement (APIK). Both are installed on board the vessel and are needed to maintain inland waterways, ensure high navigation accuracy, channel surveys on rivers and lakes, and compile data for the mapping service. Previously, the developers used a foreign-made building.
We changed our own design documentation, found a supplier in St. Petersburg, who revised one of his products according to our developments. The result is an excellent body, which is 40% lower in price, and at the same time more functional, "said Dmitry Altmark, leading specialist in the hydrography department at Sitronics KT. |
The second solution was the replacement of imported boards, interface servers and converter, used in the complex for connecting receivers/with control and GLONASSGPS correction stations. Sitronics KT specialists managed not only to create a domestic fee, but also to reduce its cost by five times.
We have developed our own interface board that combines the functionality of all three of these devices. Also, in order to improve the system setup, it was decided to move from the Ethernet protocol to the USB protocol for connecting to an external computer, "said Sergey Vinogradov, head of the Sitronics KT hydrography department. |
