2022 Announcement of a fitness tracker for dogs Smart Dog Collar
On January 3, 2022, Invoxia introduced smart dog collar Smart Dog Collar for dogs. This gadget will not only help users find a lost dog, but the company also added several features that will track some indicators of your dog's health.
By the time this product was announced, the manufacturer was already offering many devices using a satellite navigation system (GPS) or Helium network to track everyday items. Built-in artificial intelligence and next-generation sensors that have never been used in pet health before allow the collar to continuously and non-invasively monitor resting heart rate and breathing even through thick fur. Thus, Smart Dog Collar can define different behaviors and habits based on millions of data points collected during pet life. All readings taken are then synchronized with the companion app, along with statistics on your dog's daily activity, such as walking, running, eating, drinking, barking, and relaxing.
There is a radar that is directed to the neck and sends a radio signal, and this signal is not reflected from the coat. Therefore, no matter how much wool or hair, the signal will be reflected from the first layer of skin. Thus, the radar will be able to determine the speed and movement of the skin directly under the collar. These movements then enter an algorithm that determines the heart rate and breathing rate. The collar can sit on the neck of the dog more freely and conveniently. This cannot be said of smartwatches and fitness trackers that people use and that require tighter fit and good contact with the skin to obtain accurate heart rate readings, said Invoxia CEO Amelie Caudron. |
In addition to controlling the dog's health, a smart collar can track its location at any time using a combination of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and LTE technologies. The company built a buzzer into the collar so that users could ask it to make a sound if the dog is nearby, but the user does not see it. The Smart Dog Collar will go on sale in the summer of 2022 at a price of $99. A monthly subscription is provided, which, according to Invoxia, will cost $12.99 per month.[1]
