Inclusion in the register of domestic software

The Unified Register of Russian Ministry of Digital Development Programs includes an OCR system based on artificial intelligence, designed to automate document flow. This was announced on December 28, 2024 by representatives of Smart Engines.

The domestic development of the Smart Text Engine recognizes any text documents in more than 100 languages ​ ​ of the world - from memos to contracts, the font does not matter. The software product relates to the field of artificial intelligence.

The Smart Text Engine software product created by scientists automatically recognizes printed and handwritten text, inscriptions and markups. The software involves the proprietary development of Smart Engines researchers - 4.6-bit neural network models for high-speed recognition. The technology is suitable for working with primary, tax, notarial, legal, insurance and other documents, organizing electronic archives and document management. The speed of text recognition in server solutions reaches 1800 pages per minute or 30 pages per second, the developers said.

The technology is available for integration in, mobile desktop and web applications. High speed allows the Smart Text Engine to work on portable devices - for example, it smartphone takes 2 seconds to recognize a document A4 on. According to the order of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation of December 28, 2024, the Smart Text Engine text document recognition system was included in the register of Russian programs in the software class, which includes character recognition tools, subroutine libraries (SDK), tools for intelligent information processing and mining of business processes and data, as well as image processing, analysis and recognition. The program entered the register under number 26023.
