2018: ST-FR015EM
On August 1, 2018 the Smartec company provided the budget readers Smartec ST-FR015EM with control on fingerprints and RFID cards.
According to the developer, the strong and hermetic package of the reader has degree a heat - and moisture protection of IP65 that raises its operation capabilities and allows to conduct uninterrupted access control in the range of external temperatures from -10 °C to +50 °C. For an exception of corrosion and mechanical damages the ST-FR015EM front panel is executed of stainless steel, and the optical fingerprint scanner is protected by a special cover. On a frontal panel of the reader the buzzer and the three-colored LED indicator for display of results of the executed transactions and a current status of the device is displaid.
The regular RFID reader ST-FR015EM of the EM Marine standard allows to organize two-factor identification of personnel and guests in a system, or to differentiate access for separate groups of persons. For example, for the organization of access control on an object of visitors or temporary employees it is possible to use RFID cards as the one-time admission. At the same time recognition in the ACS of permanent employees can be executed on a fingerprint as biometric control as the main method of identification, is more reliable and excludes forgery, consider in Smartec.
According to the statement of Smartec, the built-in sensor with a glass prism executes high-precision scanning of a fingerprint with the resolution of 500 dots per inch, and the algorithms of recognition of the papillary drawing implemented in the reader provide uninterrupted control even of dry, wet and rough finger-tips. The same algorithms do not allow to undergo control using models. According to information provided to Smartec, ST-FR015EM has low coefficient of false access of FAR (False Acceptance Rate) which does not exceed 0.0001%, and the false access denial of FRR (False Rejection Rate) makes less than 0.01%.
The compatibility with ST-NC120F, ST-NC240F and ST-NC440F controllers of the Smartec brand allows to involve ST-FR015EM within the operating control systems of access and a time recording under control of software of Timex.
The two-factor readers Smartec ST-FR015EM went on sale at the retail price of 115 USD, including VAT.
2014: ST-FR031EM
The range of devices of the Smartec trademark for a control system of access was filled up in the fall of 2014 by the readers ST-FR031EM which are intended for work within the independent or network ACS and can perform two-factor identification of people. Devices are equipped with the fingerprint scanner and the reader of RFID cards of the Em Marine standard therefore are capable to provide how biometric access to premises, and by cards. Besides, the reader Smartec is equipped with Wiegand the interface for connection to control systems of access for third-party producers and has the built-in DB on 3,000 biometric templates of fingerprints and 10,000 codes of RFID cards.
The memory which is built in the biometric reader allows to store up to 3,000 templates of fingerprints, and time of scanning of a print of one person does not exceed 1 with therefore ST-FR031EM optimum is suitable for access restriction to premises of the companies of an average and large scale and is capable to provide biometric access in places with rather big chelovekopotok. High speed of identification in ST-FR031EM is supported due to use of modern algorithms of recognition of the papillary drawing. At the same time the coefficient of a false access denial does not exceed 1%, and false admission and that it is less — 0.0001%.
For increasing the level of security of ST-FR031EM uses not only biometric, but also radio-frequency (RFID) technology of identification of users as the reading-out module of the Em Marine standard working at frequency of 125 kHz is built in its body. Thanks to it, based on ST-FR031EM it is possible to organize not only biometric access control on fingerprints, but also contactless using the Em Marine access cards which can be selected from a Smartec brand product line. In comparison with contactless identifiers of other standards, EM have the lowest cost at identical functionality.
ST-FR031EM is capable to work independently or as a part of a multidoor control system of access. At the same time control of the biometric reader within the ACS can be exercised via interfaces of the Timex software product or other software. When using Timex it is possible to maintain online monitoring of a system and the database of card owners, to differentiate RFID and biometric access, to create and appoint the access levels, to execute photoverification, and also to create different report types including in T-13 form. Besides, the fingerprint reader can be integrated practically into any software for a control system of access and a time recording via the Wiegand-interface.
For the organization of power supply ST-FR031EM it is necessary to use a DC power source with tension of 12 V, and on a case of shutdown of power supply it is possible to connect the optional accumulator to it. Besides, the biometric fingerprint reader has a relay exit for management of work of an electrical lock, inputs for connection of the button of a request for an exit and the door position sensor and also the general disturbing exit. Moreover, biometric access on fingerprints can constantly be provided or according to the schedule as ST-FR031EM supports different working schedules and allows to unblock a door on the set period.
The biometric fingerprint readers Smartec ST-FR031EM will go on sale in November, 2014.
