On October 10, 2019, Samsung announced the SoftPOS solution, thanks to which sellers can use the company's smartphones as a POS terminal and online cash register. This is a joint project with the Russian supplier of payment solutions INPAS.
SoftPOS allows you to accept contactless payments and use the functions of an online cash register using a Samsung mobile device. INPAS has supplemented the SoftPOS solution with software that turns a smartphone into an online cashier with cash and cashless payments, cloud fiscalization and the ability to add items, assign prices, discounts and send e-checks to customers.
To pay for the purchase, you need to go to the SoftPOS application, having previously registered, enter the required transaction amount or select an item, and then offer the client to attach a contactless bank card or any other device that supports Samsung Pay, Apple Pay or Google Pay payment tools to an NFC smartphone. After a successful operation, an electronic check can be sent to the client by mail, SMS or through a QR code.
All transaction data will be transferred through the fiscal data operator to the Federal Tax Service when connected to the cloud.
By October 10, 2019, SoftPOS technology is powered by Samsung Galaxy smartphones, Galaxy Tab tablets and rugged Xcover4 smartphones.
